"Roomy" Bird Pouch,November 3, 2009
By JPR2from Dallas, Texas
"Your bird belt has ample storage for a good days shooting However, full w/ shells and birds, the belt has a tendancy to slip down due to all the weight. So if your in for a big day, really tighten the belt!!!"

Great little bag,October 15, 2009
By Mountaindavefrom Flathead Valley, MT
"I've used this bird belt four times so far, twice hunting grouse and twice hunting pheasants. I use it for about three hours at a time. I'm tall and skinny and don't like vests or even strap vests (they never fit well in the chest) so this has been the answer for me. There have been some common gripes about this product and I have some responses:
1) "It won't hold birds" - NOT true. I carried four grouse in it one trip out. On another I carried my cousin's limit of three pheasants for about an hour without difficulty. I wouldn't run a marathon that way, but it was not a discomfort and they didn't fall out nor ever threaten to fall out. When I ran to a downed bird, the birds smacked me in the butt a bit, but I just steadied them with one hand.
2) "The buckle slips" - partially true. I noticed just a tiny bit of slippage, but I solved the problem by replacing the nylon belt with an old leather belt with holes that I have. However I would have done that regardless of any slippage because I also thread the belt through the front two belt loops of my hunting pants and use the whole setup to hold my hunting pants up.
I'm pretty skinny - 33" waist - and the Medium is just perfect. If it were any larger, it would bunch up and be difficult. I've loved the freedom of movement it gives me and it wears nicely. It's definitely my favorite system so far."

Bird Belt,September 7, 2009
By STSr1from Central Illinois
"Bought this belt in 2006 to carry squirrels. I found out on the first hunt 5 Illinois fox squirrels put quite a strain on the belt. Adding a pair of detachable suspenders remedied the situation. Tip 1: although the lined game bag is easy to clean, I carry plastic grocery bags to put the squirrels in. No fuss, no muss. Tip 2: if you like this product as much as I do - although I doubt I'll wear this one out - you better buy another one because they'll quit making it."

Brid Belt,April 20, 2009
By ks152from Kansas
"good sturdy rig. Like all waist belt bird carriers it can tend to "bang" on the back of your thighs if you walk with a load of birds. waist size, due to set belt length, doesn't have a huge amount of give and take"

cabela's bird belt,February 18, 2009
By dogdockfrom Colorado Springs, CO
"This is a great product. I use it frequently for retriever training. An electronic collar and transmitter fit nicely in the left pocket, dog treats and water bottle plus poo bags in the right and four bumpers in the game bag.
I recently spent the day on the roof of my commercial building solving some electrical problems with a handful of screw drivers and pliers in the front pockets plus a multimeter and small parts in the game bag.
This weekend I will actually use it for hunting/dog training and expect it to work well. Oh, I did replace the nylon belt and plastic buckle with an old leather belt.......a cheap conversion to solve a problem that others have mentioned.
Where else can you buy a dog training, tool carrying, hunting belt for less than $20.00. They seem to run a bit large as I'm a 36-38 waist and like the fit of a size large bird belt."

bird game bag,January 29, 2009
By ridered65from Riverside California
"These waist game bags seem to all have the same problem, load with shells, hike alot, Quail and Chukkar hunting, nylon belt slips and the bag end up below my rear. I guess I will have to tape the strap again! Price is good."

great for dove hunting!,January 25, 2009
By AwsomeBillFromDawsonvillefrom Carnesville, GA
"I bought this in the bargain cave and did not regret it one bit! The belt fits great and looks great. The one draw back is the plastic clasp that hold the nylon belt tends to slip a little but nothing a little safety pin or needle point caint fix. I use mine for crow hunting and dove hunting and shooting skeet. If your thinking about rabbit hunting with this stay away will get caught and torn on everything, stick to the vest."

By birdblasterfrom queen creek, arizona
"great front pouches with easy access.. mesh belt works loose after awhile ..replaced with leather belt that doesnt slip.. lost several birds out of rear bag while climbing fences and crawling under brush.. I feel sides are cut to low on game pouch. I cut rear pouch off and fitted deep top load canvas bag to belt, nice set up now."

Can't believe I've been hunting w/out it,December 15, 2008
By BinBuilderfrom Western PA/Central Ohio
"This bag was more than I thought it would be. Got an XL since I'm normally a 36/38 waist, and it sits a little low but over coveralls it will be fine. Going to use it for squirrel/bunny hunting. With the two pockets (which are really double pockets), this vest could be used to hold muzzleloader supplies in the cold winter, shells and clays during the summer, or a turkey calls in the spring, just throw a cushion in the same bag part. Could use this bag for anything."

Great Bird Belt!,December 4, 2008
By Lawaiafrom CA
"I have used this belt a few times while dove hunting, and I love it! Very comfortable for extended wear and warm days. Belt stays snug. There are two smaller pockets in front of the shell pockets for miscellaneous items. Bird pocket is lined, so it is easy to hose out at the end of the day. Quality bag at a great price!!!!"

like it,November 5, 2008
By prest08from South Carolina
"This product is great. I had been looking for a nice bird belt for a long time when I came across it in bargain cave. It is well made sizing is correct and the game bag is easy to load. I not only use it for hunting but also when training my lab. The nylon line game pocket holds the slobery dokken ducks well without a mess. The shell back are roomy and the expandable snaps are a great addition. The two D-rings are also usefull."
