"I used them as a base layer under Polartech 200,and jeans, during this recent Arctic blast. They kept me warm, did not hold perspiration next to my skin. This allowed me to take breaks while shoveling without getting cold from being wet.I would recommend them as a base layer in very cold situations."

"This is actually a good product, and I would recommend it to others, but as a midweight garment. It is definitely not heavyweight or polar weight. Since anyone buying it will expect to get something that will insulate against very cold weather, they are likely to be disappointed unless they stay quite active. For that reason, I would only rate it at 3 stars. The fault is in the misleading description, not in the product itself."

"While elk hunting in Idaho, these drawers did not perform as expected and left me cold on the mountain. During the hike to our hunting area during early morning hours left me wet from perspiration and the material would not wick the moisture away so once I cooled down, I became cold. They did not withstand the cold temperatures or wind, I eventually went back to my polypropylene underwear which were bulky but did the job of keeping me warm. These Polar-Weight Drawers are for cool weather and low activity unless you like being cold and wet during your hunt. I would not recommend these drawers for temperatures below 25 degrees and definitely not in any kind of wind. I would buy them again for cool weather use only, like early fall sitting in a duck blind but leave them home for an elk hunt."

"I purchased Cabela's ThermaStat Polar Weight Drawers and top for this years elk hunt in Colorado. Hunting in the high country in November can be extremely cold or just the reverse, down right warm. This year it was cold, but warmed up nicely in the afternoons. Wearing the ThermaStat Polar Weight thermal underwear was comfortable all day long. The morning I was kept nice and toasty, but yet when the afternoon came along, they wicked the moisture (perspiration) away, keeping me very comfortable. I wore them all week, just rinsing them out each night and they were ready to go the next morning."
