ThermaStat, a revolutionary lightweight and cottony soft fabric from DuPont, provides more than warmth. Designed with hollow-core fibers that trap insulating air, it will keep you warm, yet it's breathable to prevent overheating during periods of exertion. When you work up a sweat, ThermaStat wicks the moisture away from your skin and dries in a flash, enabling you to endure cold temperatures longer. It's mildew, odor and shrink-resistant. The top has a zipper that runs to the top of the collar in a mock turtleneck style to keep chills out. Zip it down when you need extra ventilation. Extended wrists are constructed half-glove style, with a thumbhole, to keep hands warmer and effectively close out drafts that slip past your gloves or mittens. The extended tail gives extra protection over the kidney area and posterior.

"actually i was on the site looking for a pair of longjohns because i realised that my top was missing! its been over a year that i havnt been wearing the top to this pair and i have seemed to be warmer without it! i just use better layers! i will never purchase this product again. on super cold days i wear my wifes johns and they are the black polartech! cabelas carrys this line and will be my next pair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I have never purchased anything from Cabelas that was this poor quality. Because it says "Polar-Weight", I expected something warm, but what I got was something you could see right through! DO NOT buy this product if you are going to be in freezing temperatures."

"I recently purchased this "polar weight" (the heaviest weight available) top and matching drawers. I returned them both for a refund. In my opinion they were rather lightweight and not worthy of the "polar" designation. Also, I found the zip top inferior to the Henley style top because the zip top is uncomfortable, does not close very tightly around the neck, and tends to flop out and sag when left unzipped or partially zipped."

"As described, these underwear wick moisture very well. I ordered them for a mule deer trip in the badlands and was glad I did. A cold front blew in on our second day. Temps were 45* during the day and 35* at night. Wind was 25-35 with frequent rain. I walked up and down buttes and valleys and stayed warm and dry. If you want to really stay warm at rest, a wind-blocking layer is needed in windy conditions. These are very nice and I have no regrets purchasing them."

"I have used this product for several years. It has always performed well. The way the sleeves extend down over the hands is perfect for the Wyoming wind.
