Solid and safe,November 16, 2009
By TuckerdOutfrom WI
"I like this climbing stick over others since you can't get hooked in the ribs or jaw if you fall (when using a fall restraint). This is due to the design of the step - it is enclosed and you'll slide over the step. I found it fairly easy and safe to install using my Lifeline (HSS) along with a Lineman's strap attached to my safety harness. I do agree with others - better to use ratchet straps than the ropes - it's faster and much more secure. Steps feel rock solid."

Summit swifttree ladder,June 10, 2009
By benhuntnfrom Waldorf, MD
"After many years of climbing trees and drilling holes for screw in steps I finally broke down and bought 3 sets of this climbing stick. I found it easy to assymble and put up. It took me a few minutes to get it really tight to the tree but after a few attempts I figured out how to get it right and now it is a piece of cake. I gave the sticks a 4 rating instead of five for one reason. I prefer larger trees and I found the rope to be the limiting factor. I found the rope would not go around the larger trees I normally use. It is good for trees of 20" or so. I added 3 screw in steps above the stick to get a little over 20 feet. Very stable for climbing and it makes set up quick and easy."

Swiftree,December 9, 2007
By blwallsfrom Indiana
"This product works very well for the money. I have used mine for the past 4 years and am very pleased. I DO NOT use the supplied ropes, they were a nightmare, hard to tie knots and stretched a lot. I use ratchet straps and that made set up 200% easier and quicker! I would recommend them to everyone using hang-on stands that are in semi-permanent locations. (they aren't something you want to carry in and out of the woods everyday)"

"I own three sets and I think they are great. The enclosed steps are great to keep your foot from slipping off when wet and muddy. Very quit and stable. A ratchet strap would be nice. Quality Product!!"

Summit Swiftree Ladder,May 4, 2007
By GRUMPfrom Cresco, IA
"I purchased the summit Swiftree ladder at the end of last season and had to return,as the ladder stand off bracket hole for the bottom section was drilled in the wrong location, the store did not have one on hand to replace it, so they sent me one from the warehouse the second ladder was made properly and looks like it will work well. The first stand I had was made in China, manufacured in 2006 and the second one with much better craftsman was made in 2004 in USA"
