The Cow Elk II and Whitetail Doe II decoys offer two additional postures to the already realistic appearance of Montana
decoys. They are crafted of a lightweight, yet durable polyester fabric with a detailed photo-image printed on both
sides. Because they pack down to a 2" x 16" diameter disc and they weigh only 2 pounds, they are easy to pack into
remote locations. A spring-steel band inside the body pops the decoy open for fast, easy set up, while a simple
twisting motion folds it for transport. Fiberglass tent-style poles with step stakes support the decoy. Available: Cow Elk II, Whitetail Doe II.

Item notes This decoy will not look like it has much definition at arms length. The decoy will need to be placed approx. 5 yards away to bring out the tones and shades of color.

"I used the Montana cow elk II as well as the cow elk decoy together. They are easy to setup and easy to fold if you follow the directions. I was able to bring the elk closer than without the decoys. Great product."

Unhandy,September 23, 2008

"The decoy was unhandy to carry since it didn't fold up very easy at all. If you carried it unfolded then it was too visible and spooked elk."

Montana Decoy Cow Elk II,November 22, 2006
By Jami4bowsfrom Snohomish, WA
"We bought the Cow Elk II just before leaving for our out of state elk hunt. My first morning out my husband pulled out this very compact, flat, lightweight decoy from his backpack. Almost silently he opened it up, set the poles in the leg slots and set "Buttsy" (as we call her) in the meadow. The materials used on the Cow Elk II make set up quick, easy & quiet in the silence of the early morning forest. My husband began to cow call and right away a bull was calling back. For 30 minutes the bull called back from the dark forest but seemed reluctant to come in closer. Finally we were able to see his motionless silouette in the trees at the edge of the meadow. He took a few more steps and was able to see the Cow Elk II at our end of the meadow. At that point he made no hesitation to walk into the open meadow to a mud bowl just 90 yards from us. For 10 minutes he put on a show for this potential new mate (and us!). Looking at the Cow Elk II the bull would wallow and stamp, rake his 5x5 rack in the mud and throw dirt and shake off the mud as he continued to walk to "her". This Cow Elk II decoy is so realistic looking that the bull had no hesitation in that open meadow walking right to her, 35 yards from us - the rest is history! The Montana Decoy Cow Elk II made all the diffence in this elk hunt. We won't say "we will" recommend your decoy - we already have - many times! Thank you!"
