And best of all, the deer love it. Transform those less-than-choice plot areas into lush, green fields to keep the deer on your land year-round and healthier than ever before. 5.6-lb. bag plants 1/4 acre. Contains attractive forages including evergreen forb and chicory. Grows well in most soils including well-drained, sandy and light. Should be planted no deeper than 1/4" during the spring or fall in areas that receive 4-6 hours of sunlight per day.

Good but Pricey,September 10, 2009
By garymcfrom WV
"I have used this product on two different occassions and it has performed well. It is a bit pricey for the seed that it contains. I feel there are others out there just as good for half the price. Although the product does perform as advertised."

Deer loved it,July 25, 2009
By BungalowBizzfrom Gray, Louisiana
"I planted the Extreme in 2 different areas of a lease in SouthWestern Mississippi as per the instructions and soil sample results. I put chicken wire cages in the food plots to determine growth and the food plots were hammered. I mean it didn't even look as if they were growing, while the plants inside the chicken wire were over a foot tall."

Good product but very high Inert matter,January 20, 2009
By AvidJoefrom Dallas, Texas
"Product did will from a germination standpoint and deer really liked it. Withstood some serious drought and is well suited for Texas climate and various soil types. Issue I have with it was and still is the very high Inert matter of over 30% That means there is 30% of a mystery item or items in each bag. In my humble opinion the Whitetail Institute should really clean up their seed. Inert matter should be in single digits!"

Whitetail Extreme,August 25, 2008
By HoneyHoleAcresfrom Nebraska
"My partner and I have one spot of ground that isn't very productive, but in a perfect place for a food plot. We had tried other plantings with poor results. Last year we planted the Extreme in late August, and even with poor moisture, got a pretty good stand. The deer were attracted to it, and you could count on seeing them on it most anytime you watched it. We reorded this year, and just finished planting on Aug. 16th."

Waste of money,March 15, 2008
By blmarlinfrom Tallahassee, FL
"Planted this last year in the spring near Macon GA, nothing and I mean nothing came up despite having a PH in the supposed working range. My cousin tried it again this Fall on a plot with a PH of 6.5 and he didn't have any luck either. So I put out a test area in my yard (nice dark topsoil) next to other products that cost MUCH less. The extreme was outperformed by all of them. I still have half a bag, what a waste...."

imperial extreme,April 3, 2007
By dentoxfrom middlesex, north carolina
"planted early spring (late march) and thus far it appears every seed I broadcast has germinated. Not sure what to expect with very little rain this spring and the 1st time I've planted, but have an excellent crop of imperial extreme coming up. Hope to see alot of deer this fall."

"This product performed somewhat well, I have very sandy soil, performed necessary soil tests, put down appropriate fertilizer and lime, but it did not grow as well as I expected."
