"Prduct was very easy to plant. It popped up in about 8 days. I was disappionted at first, but after the first snow hit the ground the deer & turkey hit it every day for about 3 weeks. Next year I will plant twice as much!!"

    plant sooner, October 30, 2009
    By Kbo28 from S.W. PA

"I planted a 10yd. by 30yd area in the woods using directions
given. My trail cam verifies it is successful. The plant height
is very small however. I would strongly recommend planting
in early august instead of waiting for cooler temps. Product
last plant date for SW Pa. is Sept. 15. Follow old farmer's
advice and plant your crop early.

"The biggest problem with this product is keeping the deer away from it long enough for the plants to get established well! As soon as the shoots came up I had deer in the plot eating everything in sight!"

Plant it and they will come & come & come........, January 21, 2009
    By 140orbetter from Dryden,NY

"I used this last year on a pipeline. It when in late but and only got about 9-10" tall. I found later why. Every deer that crossed it stopped to graze. This was an area with no prior food. After the snow hit they dug down to get at it. I am planting about 2 acres worth this year."

    Secret Spot, July 11, 2008
By deerhunterNY from Buffalo New York

"I have used this product for the 1st time last fall, came up great within weeks. The deer kept hammering it early. Set up a trail camera next to it getting 50-75 pictures in a few days. Will be using it again this year and doing another plot for my son with the same can't wait to get it going"

Excellent Hunting Plot!!, March 10, 2008
    By tommb from Western, NY

"Whitetail institute Secret Spot makes a very good hunting plot! Just plant it about 30 to 45 days before the first frost and the different types of farages make it last all the way through the late season if it doesn't get eaten to the ground first! Its basically the equivalent of Biologic Full Draw without as many brassicas. Pant a small plot around your treestand and you won't be disapointed."

much work to get it started and I was a little late in the year to
plant but it has taken right off just about 3 weeks and the deer and
turkeys have already started picking at it.

"I planted the secret spot seed in the middle of a saddle in an open spot in the woods. The soil worried me because it was so sandy. I added the proper fertalizer and within a week it was 8 inches tall. The deer love it!!!!!"

Not so easy to Grow, August 22, 2007
    By Anonymous from Sonora Ca.

"I purchased the secret spot food. To my disappointment the grass has barely come up in only a couple of spots, It is not as easily grown as implied. The bag I purchased should have gotten much more growth than a couple of patches. I hate to spend more money, since the first bathch was a failure."

    Dissapointed, July 24, 2007
    By scatergun1 from Woodville, NY

"I was very dissapointed w/ this seed, I tilled and rolled the ground, fertilized, and limed. Before I planted and all that grew was grass. Maybe I did too much prep work but I have been growing foodplots for over 5 years and never had one grow as poorly as this seed."

"I recently ordered the Whitetail Institute Secret Spot Food Plot. I normally use regular rye grass but decided to try something a little different. It is AWESOME. The grass came up in a matter of days . I have deer all over it. My horses love it too. Thanks Cabelas, this is my product for the future."

bow hunting plot, November 20, 2006
    By tkmn06 from Millbrook, AL

"With this year's absence of the local acorn crop, my Whitetail Institute Secret Spot Food Plot was the way to go. For less than 15.00 dollars and an average yard rake i had created an extraordinary deer ration. Therefore, with my good experiences with this product, I would suggest in looking in to this product."
