Brings in the Bucks,
November 10, 2009
By lance1alot

"I have been very happy with this product over the past few seasons. Use this scent in a scent dripper, pour on a mock scape or better yet add some to an active natural scrape and sit back and wait. I have have the most success within 24 hours. Cameras show bucks will continue to come as long as the dripper is working."

Great Results,

"I have used this product for several years now. I place it in a scent dripper over a mock scrape a few yards from a real scrape. If the real scrape is active it drives the bucks wild. They will come check more often and hang in an area more."

Bear Creek Hunter,

"Late October: Scrape Dripper and Active Scrape is just an awesome combination. Bucks are on the move and this stuff keeps them in the area. Add a trail camera, and you will have all the proof you need. I can't tell you how many deer I have taken over the years at or downwind of this set up. Good luck this year!"

Wild Life Active scrape scent .,
November 18, 2008
By tcwoodsman

"I use this in my dripper. It works if there are deer around , Bucks that wonder in the area and check it out just might be apt to do it while your in your stand near by. If you pick the right tree, dont leave a human scent behind and stay away from it . Just let it hange , it will keep a Buck in the area , he want to know who is in his back yard . And he might get upset. And make often scent checks , hopefully you'll be in your stand of blind."

Active scrape,
January 18, 2008
By Pinehawker
from Lower Bank, NJ
|
"I was a little disappointed with the Active Scrape this year. Once I put it out ( 4 days before hunting the stand 1st week of Dec),all deer activity around the stand ceased. I have on previous occasions used this with good results and have does as well as bucks investigate the mock scrapes. The bucks would come in winding with head up and does searched out the mock scrape until they found it and pawed, squatted and peed in the scrape. Other times I have had bucks bust me when they were hanging around the stand or when they were snooping around the stand from the safety of heavy cover. Used in the correct situation and at the right time of year this method can be deadly. Hunting deer in southern NJ can be difficult. Yes, we do have a large population of whitetails but from what I have learnd from hunting deer in other states is that NJ deer are some of the most wary to be found anywhere. Active Scrape is not the "cure all" to successful deer hunting but can be considered a very good tool that can be added to the deer hunters arsenal."

"I have used this product in the same tree for 6 years now and am amazed at the amount of deer that frequent this spot to deposit their own sent. I have pegged a doe and buck at the dripper going on six years now in archery season. I have followed the instruction included and it works at advertised!"

Non Functional Active Scrape,
November 24, 2006
By Rodger10000
from Florida
|
"For the last two years I have tried active scrape with the scrape dripper . The results have been a dismal failure and a complete inability to duplicate any of the successes described by the Whitetail Institute. I have two farms in Georgia where my brother and I hunt every year for whitetails. We run a management program and plant a fall and summer crop for the deer. We have been hunting the farms for over thirty years. For the last two years I have set up active scrape with a scrape dripper on scrapes and EVERY time the bucks have completely abandoned the scrapes. In two instances I watched bucks return to scrapes for two to three days prior to placing the scrape dripper. In each case the bucks abandoned the scrapes and never returned after the dripper was in place. The only instance of even remotely meeting any of the Institutes hype was this year when I place the dripper on a hot scrape and the deer left the existing scrape and moved over to create a new one approximately 10' away without abandoning the whole area of the scrape. I passed on this info to the Whitetail Institute last year when I had this experience and was totally blown off. Their only reply was if I was dissatisfied return the bottle for a refund. They know that almost none of these will be returned and almost no one will perform the testing I have done. I thought maybe I was having a bad year with it so I tried again and have done nothing but reinforce my findings. The Active Scrape DOES NOT work on scrapes in Georgia and I suspect that it does not really work on scrapes anywhere where there are wild deer. I suspect that the descriptions of successfull use of the dripper are nothing but paid advertisement by the Institute to sell a worthless product to hunters for a ridiculous price."

"I have used Active Scrape for two seasons. Last year I saw several small bucks in the area of the Active Scrape dripper. This year I have not been as diligent in checking the dripper. I believe this product can be a benefit if you are using it at the right time of year, keep your scent to a minimum while checking the site, and make sure that you keep the dripper filled."

Wildlife Research Active Scrape Scent,
November 20, 2006
By bsprinkle
from Oklahoma
|
"WRC's products draw deer like a bee to honey! I sat out one night and watched 12 different bucks inspect ONE scrape that I had out for about two weeks, all in the space of about 6 hours...
The dripper system is better than a feed bag because it brings in the bucks, not just ALL animals.
I keep myself in a good supply of this stuff from now on."
