merrel 6-shooter target,

"I bought this target as it advertised shooting broadheads on multiple sides, I shoot only broadheads as that is what I hunt with Needless to say I am looking for a target that will stop lots of broadhead shots. The first shot I took on the fieldtip/broadhead side went completely through the target, my bow is set at 62 lbs. I have been shooting the broadhead only side now for about two weeks and the foam is breaking apart rapidly. This target will work for a limited number of broadhead shots but I have yet to find a target that will last me more than two months of broadhead use."

"Don't buy this....you will not be able to get your arrows out of it. It is extremely difficult. I had to turn it over and practically stand on the target to remove arrows. Great price but poor product."

"I purchased this target primarly because it says easy arrow removal. I thought I was going to pull the skin off of my hands trying to pull 5 arrows with field points. My wife sat on top of the target pulling, while I pulled on the arrows above her hands. I had her and the target off of the ground trying to remove the arrows. I'm going back to my "Block". These arrows are five times harder to remove than my block.
I only give it a 1 because "0" was not an option. But, on a positive side , it was priced OK."

"I got this target on sale. Yes the arrows are a little difficult at times to get out but for the price it is great. Broad heads come out very easy. It is only the field tips that get hung up. If you are a person that has to have everything perfect then don't get it. If you just want something to shoot at this is the one to buy."

"I had a older original block 7 years ago for field tips only, I had to put my foot on to pull the arrows out. I gave it away... I bought this target 2 years ago and so far it's the best I've used. It's not perfect, but I have not seen a better one yet, I haven't bent an arrow removing it like my old.
A couple times my arrow sunk past the blazers and exited the back side by 8-9 inches, I had to pull them out from the back tearing off a blazer or two. If you hit a few places on the target you will work very hard to pull the arrows out, hit other places it's easy to remove the arrows. On one side that I used a lot, hit dead center and I get a pass through.. using a 60lb DXT. You do not want to use field tips on the Broad-Head only sides, you will play H#%# getting your arrows back out.. I have never had an arrow that was hard to remove when it had a Broad-Head on it.. Broad-Heads are easy to pull out!
I like that I have 6 sides to shoot and the targets on all sides are easy to see even out to 65 yards.
I give it only a 3; however, I would buy another 6 shooter unless someone shows me a better for reasonable money less than $100, I won't even look at a $100-$200 target!!"

"Arrows are hard to pull on field point/boardhead side if you hit the taret in certain areas. If you hit the target just right, meaning in the right spot, the arrows are very easy to pull. About every 3rd shot I'm spending five minutes pulling on arrow out!!"

"I have used this target for the past 4 years. I would probably be able to use it for another 4 years if I didn't shoot it with broadheads. I keep up a consistent shooting regimen around hunting season, during most years that equates to 4 or 5 months of shooting 5 times a week. Target held it's own against broadheads, but after 2 seasons of fixed blade practice I've had a few arrows shoot through. Also when shooting fixed blade broadheads the target spews little foam pieces. I guess that can be expected. I have had no problems with arrow removal; even when target was new. Overall a good target that I have gotten my money out of. However, I may try out one of the other targets to see if I can get a little more broadhead longevity."

Supposed to stop arrows?,

"I ruined 2 bolts shooting my Barnett Predator Crossbow at this target.It does not even come close to stopping the bolts before the fletches are buried a foot into the target at 30 yards. Had 2 shots pass all of the way through the target.
I am going to return it today."

"I purchased this target when I bought my new crossbow and it works very good at stopping the arrows, but it likes to hold them once they are in there. I do like the fact I can shoot broad heads into all six sides and field points into 4. I will shoot it to pieces and see how long it takes to allow easy removal of the arrows."

"This is the best target for the best value out there. I have put thousands of shots into this target, and it still is stoping my arrows. Arrows remove easily, and I am suprised at alot of the comments about how hard it is to remove arrows. I have not had this expierence at all. I still see that I will be able to use this target for many years to come. When this one does wear out, I will buy another one."

"I am new to archery and this was the first target I have used. I am surprised that it is rated so low. I thought it performed really well. Has 6 different sides to shoot at. Reasonably priced. Foam stays together rather well I thought when shooting broadheads. I will be purchasing one sometime this summer before my elk season."

"Terrible target, need a hummer and a winch to pull out an arrow. Target rips easily. Falls apart regularly and the target is desined poorly. I know this because i've had to take the dang thing appart to get my arrows back. I've also broke 2 arrows from trying to get them out. You'd be better off shooting a fence."

"My 12-year-old son and I have used this target for two years. He shoots carbon and I shoot aluminum. Great all around target for the money. We haven't had any problems pulling arrows. My son generally does the pulling for both of us -- field points and broadheads."

"I bought this target and returned it the same day. I shot it with a field point on one of the field point sides and the arrow was stuck so badly when i pulled it out the target face and one of the layers pulled right out of the target."
