"I bought this sight pin to replace the pins that came with my Tru Glo sight. The pin does an excellent job of gathering and retaining light in low light conditions. It is far superior to any other fiber optic pin I have used. When used in combination with a Hindsight rear sighting system, it allows for easy target acquisition in low light situations. My use of the tritium sight pin has been enlightening to say the least!"

"I bought my first truglo tritium 2001, and second 2008. Need to buy another today only because I caught the last one on a branch and broke it. GREAT sight, with just the right amount of "glo" to it. No need for batteries or outside light to activate sight. Perfect sight for when those bucks show up at last light. I realize it may be a little expensive, however is well worth money. Would not hunt without it."

"I have used this for about 10 yrs or so. I would not be with out it. No it doesn't glow as bright as the other fiber, it's not suppost to. That would be to bright in low light conditions. It sure beats trying to remember to turn your pin light on (before you pull back) If it last 7 or so yrs, and it does, thats only about $ 3.5 per yr. What do you want?"

"I have used the TFO pin for 8-10 years and on the two truglo sights I've owned they have worked great. My dad purchased a TFO and complained that it wasn't bright at all. We compared sights and my pin was MUCH brighter. So there seems to be some inconsistence in the TFO pins. If you get a "dull" pin send it back and exchange it, because the ones that are bright are AWESOME! I will continue to use the TFO pins."

Failed Hunt,

"I used these pins on a elk hunt in western Montana, two of the four pins failed. The backing that holds the fiber optic fell out and the fiber optic broke and fell out. I finished the hunt using only steel pins.
The fiber optic needs to be wrapped around the pins instead of using the insert to hold fiber. For the price I give this product a BIG FAT ZERO. For the glowing in the dark I give them a 0ne, some were brighter then others."

"The standard fiber is brighter than the tritium sight. I will be sending the unit back for the light. It glows in pitch dark but the ring around my tru-glo extreme is brighter. The instructions say you have to use it as the first pin."

"I'VE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR TEN YEARS. I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER ONE THIS YEAR, DO TO MY OWN MISHAP, IT BROKE. I LEAVE FOR MY STAND 2 HOURS BEFORE SHOOTING LIGHT. IT SHINES AT 3 A.M. AND 7 P.M. WHEN I AM COMING OUT OF THE WOODS. IT HAS JUST ENOUGH LIGHT TO SEE YOUR TARGET IN VERY LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE SIGHTS WITH THE LIGHT ABOVE THAT BLINDS YOU. "The sight is excellent,just the right amount of light at dusk,also Pope& Young legal,as well as not an artificial light which is also illegal in most states before sunrise,and after sunset.The drawback are the expense,and the duration that they last.About 2 seasons is the best I can get out of an individual pin,but well worth the money."

"This may seem strange but I purchased the tritium Tru-Glo pin to make a finder for astronomy. It's small size, light weight and continuous operation appealed to me. Whether it be hunting, bird watching or stargazing, we all have the need to align our repective devices on the target.
It does glow with just the right amount at night for me. Using it during the daylight for nature watching, the glow is just right for finding my target without overwhelming it. I'm not a hunter but I am serious about about an alignment tool that does the job well without interfering with the target or alignment. I think Tru-Glo has a good balance of brightness in all lighting situations."

"I enjoy hunting with my bow. I recently purchased a truglo fiber-optic pin for my truglo sight. It was an outstanding purchase. Before, I could not appreciate spending $30 on one pin. Trust me; It was so worth it! Being able to see my pin in lowlight conditions without guessing, gives me so much confidence while sitting in my deerstand.

"The Truglo? Tritium/Fiber-Optic Pin is perfect for bow hunters. It shows up well in daylight. It also glows in the last minutes before darkness and last minutes of legal shooting time, when regular Fiber-Optic Pins don't. I have been thankful I had one a few times when deer show up at the last minute."

"This product does what it says it will. It DOES actually glow in the dark, it would be perfect for low light conditions such as inside a ground blind at twilight. However, be advised, it has a straight (in-line) mounting screw. It won't work with a 90 degree mounting screw set-up (such as the one I have). I think this is an important feature which needs to be mentioned in the catalog."
