Trophy Ridge Match Points,

"I've been using these for several years. They are expensive but I find they more nearly simulate the flight of a broadhead and minimize the need to make adjustments to compensate when comparing them to regular field tips."

Trophy Ridge Match Points 125 gr,
December 30, 2008
By Kintla
from MT
|
"Shot well. Not exactly the same as my broadheads. Might depend on the type of broadhead you shoot. Rated lower for being too fragile for the price. The match points are easily bent. After only a months use, I already have one that that is bent and doesn't line up with my arrow. I haven't had this problem with any of my other field points."

Trophy Ridge Match Points,
September 13, 2008
By LProuse
from Stockbridge, GA
|
"I've read some of the reviews where the writers say these don't work. In my experience they do. This is the second year I've used them and I ordered more so I'd have more practice arrows.
I shoot a well known company's solo cam bow, set at 70#, and Thunderhead 100 grn broadheads. When switching to my broadheads I make a sight adjustment that's so minute it's barely discernible. I just b-a-r-e-l-y make a tiny adjustment and I'm hitting the exact same point of impact.
My guess (and it's only that) is that the long match points do indeed shoot differently due to the FOC resulting from their length...and that approximates my broadhead configuration. When I shoot 100 grn regular bullet points (short points) I have considerable adjusting to do.
So these work real well for me.
LProuse - Atlanta, GA area."

Match Points,
June 28, 2008
By Biest
from mn

"If you shoot Hypershock blades, this is perfectly matched for length and weight balance. Although I still check my blade flight, it's doubtful I need to. If you are shooting fixed blades, obviously the flight will be affected be wind rotation and size of fletching. Biest"

"I have been shooting match points as my target heads for years now and after tuning a bow and matching correct spined arrows, I have little difficulty in getting my fixxed blade broadheads to group the exact same spot."

Not Just Like Broadheads,
August 13, 2007
By Addict
|
"These tips shoot well, but not just like broadheads. I shoot a fix blade cut on contact broadhead and these field tips DO NOT hit in the same place as my fixed blades. Up and down is the same but these hit to the right every time. The further away I am, the more to the right they are. Nice tips though."

Awesome Points,

"What could be better than a point that is just like a broadhead without the blades. The best for hunting practice. They may be a bit expensive but they are worth it to me. I have used the 100 and 125 grain points and both work great. Every hunter should have these. Thanks Cabelas !"

Satellite Match Points,
July 9, 2007
By TCSF
|
"Satellite Match Points did not, as advertised, "match the tuning and flight characteristics of hunting broadheads" when fired from my bow. Although well made, since they did not fulfill their primary purpose I have rated them as "poor".
At the time the Satellites were tested, my bow was shooting broadheads about two to three inches to the right of field points at 20 yards. The Satellites shot to the point of impact of my conventional field points. While the Satellites extended length and forward balance may differentiate them from field points the Satellites are similar to mechanical broadheads, which are well known for shooting like field points.
I tested at 20 yards in an indoor range. Perhaps at extended ranges or in a cross wind the Satellites might show a difference over conventional field points. Perhaps the Satellites might be viewed as a substitute for mechanicals, but they did not mimic the steering effect caused by fixed blades for me on my rig."
