Field Tested,
November 18, 2008
By Sightpin
from New Jersey
|
"I was re-sharpening broadhead blades after each kill and reusing them again and again. However, I noticed a decrease in penetration and blood trails after subsequent use.
This year I decided to buy replacement blades and went 4 for 4 with the bow and all deer went down quickly, within 100 yards.
You get 18 replacement blades, enough to replace blades on 6 broadheads for the price of 3 new broadheads. Not a bad deal."

thunder heads,

By spencer24578

"these broad heads fly just like my field tips I killed a deer with them even though my shot was closer to the back legs than it was to the front it was a humongous blood trail. I did shoot another one hit it in the shoulder fallowed the blood trail for 400 yards and it stopped. my grandpa uses them and he is 2 animals away from a grand slam with his bow.they are a good broadhead."

"I have been using this product for over 15 years and it has never let me down. last year i had to use another type on one hunt because I forgot mine at home, I shot a buck and the arrow did not penetrate properly resulting in a long search for the deer. This year I shot a much larger deer at a greater distance with very little tracking needed . I credit it to the Thunderhead's better performace . very good product"

AS GOOD AS IT GETS !,

By BUCKSNIFFER
from GUEST HUNTER TO AMERICA FROM ENGLAND

"Dont trust anyone as talk is cheap! like thunderheads and replacement blades! Best white tail I ever shot fell to these broadheads, have tried others but never ever shot as true as a thunderhead 100, they are my no 1 choice and I will always use them. The price DONT make you frown "AND" they put the deer down! They say nothing in life is guaranted but with thunderheads if you can hit the spot your family will eat a lot. PURCHASE A PACKET AND TRY THEM FOR YOURSELF THE ONLY THING LOST WILL BE BIG BLOOD LINES. I always practice with them on targets yep thats right, PRACTICE after all would you use blanks in your rifle prior to a hunting season ? confidence is everything and let face facts there is a lot that can go wrong when out there and the only bit of equipment that can kill that deer is your broadhead GET IT RIGHT AND GET 100% CONFIDENCE AND HAVE A GREAT SEASON. REGARDS BUCKSNIFFER"

Thunderhead Replacement Blades,
November 24, 2006
By BowhuntDad
from Up a Tree

"These were a necessity when shooting Thunderheads. Although I'm not currently using them, these blades are possibly some of the sharpest out there.
Remember, though, if you aren't perfectly tuned, you'll have a hard time shooting these heads."

Thunderhead Broadheads,
November 22, 2006
By BillieDeerHunter
from Farmville, NC
|
"I am completely satisfied with the NAP Thunderhead Broadhead Blades. Thanks to them, they helped me with my very first bow and arrow deer harvest. My husband highly recommends them and is all he uses with his bow and arrow hunts and he has harvested a many a deer. He harvested a nice 12 pointer deer just last year. The Thunderhead Broadheads are sharp for that clean kill, as well as durable enough to use over and over again, even for repetitive target practice. The price is reasonable too. We think they are nothing but the truth. Your prey want go very far, which makes for a fun and enjoyable hunt.
Thanks again Thunderhead Broadheads"

NAP Thunderhead-No pass through shots,
November 14, 2006
By Urbanhunter
from Woodbridge, VA
|
"Accuracy is good with this broadhead, once you are able to zero it in. The two deer that I taken with Thunderheads did not result in pass throughs.
I hunt on small 5 acre and less properties in residential neighborhoods.
I had used mechanical broadheads for the past 5 years but decided to switch to fixed broadheads this year because I was hoping that the deer would drop quicker. I almost always had pass through shots with the mechanical broadheads on the approximately 10 other deer I have taken.
Because the arrow did not pass through, the deer ended up breaking my carbon arrow while on the ground. One of the deer was a spinal shot, which I would not expect a pass through shot on, but the other should have resulted in a pass through.
I shoot with a compound with a 70 pound draw from a treestand."

The only broadhead I will use.,
October 26, 2006
By jqreview
from Greensboro, NC
|
"I have been using Thunderheads for over 20 years and I will never change. It was the broadhead I used to kill the first deer, and will be the broadhead I will use to kill the last deer of my lifetime. A week ago I talked a friend of mine into trying a thuderhead insted of the muzzy broadhead. He always uses two to site them in. His second shot he shaved the fletching off the first arrow. He now is a Thunderhead 100 gr hunter!
