Good value for the money,

"I bought this product because I was tired of paying someone else to do what I could easily do myself. Having never fletched my own arrows before, I found this product easy to set up and use. The graduation marks allow you to accurately place each fletching with precision and ensure continuity between each fletching. It's a little bulkier than other fletching stands that are out there, but those are more expensive as well. Defintely a good buy for the money."

hard to opperate,

"the vane clamps were hard to slide into the clamp. one side of the tool would not even let me slide the clamp into it because the clamps are to long could not even flech one arrow"

"I have never fletched an arrow until I got this one for Christmas. I have had great results and can't understand other's problems with this fletcher.....follow directions and carefully double check your clamp positions and every arrow comes out just fine and the fletches are evenly spaced."

"This product is poorly made. The fletching holders do not place the arrows at 120 deg. apart as claimed, two of the fletching are less than 120 deg. and one is set at more than 120. In addition the clamp screws don't actually clamp anything and the arrow holding clamp doesn't secure the shaft adequately. I received this as a gift. If I had bought it, I would have rejected it. Don't waste your money!"

"Will work with any arrow size and degree of fletch offset is adjustable. Can be difficult for a novice to set up and use --- but once adjusted properly, does a pretty good job. Works best with slower drying glues that give you time to make sure all fletches have good contact once the clamps are all in place.
Clamps are too short for optimum results with the magnum 5 1/2" size feathers but work well with feathers and vanes 5" or less. It is much easier to insert feathers into the clamps than in a competator's plastic three armed fletch tool but for vanes there is no real advantage."

"I have the helical type fletching jig. This fletching jig needs a serious makeover. The clamps dont line up correctly. Instead of 3 x 120 fletch it makes 2 equal fletchings and one way out. Like one reviewer said before, its more like a "105 x 105 x 150". The screws dont tighten to the base, tried washers and that helped but the angles are still off. Maybe the clamps are bent. They are made of light guage aluminum. The mechanism that holds the shaft straight loosens when the clamps touch the shaft. Poor construction and poor performance. Dont waste your money."

"Received this product as a gift last year. I have on mutille ocasions tried to fletch arrows and it just doesn't perform the way I woulod expect a cabelas product to work. Not at all consistant the slides are sloppy the spring fall out and the hold screws do not tighten . Needless to say I use my old fletcher and it works to perfection............would not recomend this tool."

"I was given the Cabelas fletcher as a gift last year. After 6 months, many hours, and even help from a bow shop pro, this thing still won't fletch arrows properly. Rather than the 120 degree fletching, this gives more like a 105-105-150 fletch. Right from the box, I noticed that none of the adjusting screws ever locked down tight enough to hold anything, so I added washers to them after trying them out on a few arrows first. Still doesn't hold very tight. Only good thing I can say about this fletcher is that Cabelas has a generous return policy."

"Big strike out on the HF-2 Fletching tool. Poor fitting of parts, no way to tell degree of helical fletch. Came without instructions. Couldn't get a proper fit to fletch an arrow. I should add, though, that this is the first Cabela's branded product I've been disappointed with."

"Right out of the box 2 clamps fit perfectly, but the third would not go into the clamp. I considered filing the opening down a little to get the clamp to fit, but decided to send it back to Cabelas and have them send me another one.
When I got the new one, I had the same problem. Two would fit in perfectly but the third was a no-go.
I'll give it to Cabela's though, I had no problem exchanging the unit for a different fletcher."

"I bought this item at the beginning of this year and just used it for the first time to redo all 3 fletches on 10 arrows. I'm not very pleased with this product due to the fact that the spacing between each fletch did not always have the same degree of separation. The product design looks like it would be a great tool, however, because of the amount of play with each of the clamps, I wouldn't trust the accuracy of any fletched arrow.
I would not recomend this jig."

"I have tried using this fletcher on multiple types and sizes of arrows all with the same result. Frustration. I was not pleased with the job it did, i can't recommend a different fletcher but i wouldn't buy this one."

"This is one of the best arrow flethers I have every used. You can fletch all three vanes at the same time and be finished with with 1 arrow start to finish in about 1 min. The vane clamps hold plastic vanes well with out slippage and makes gluing effortless. Very well made ( no cheap plastic here ).
I would say I am very pleased over all with this product. If there has to be any draw back it would be the spring clips that hold the vane claps in could be a little more stiff."
