Good but not the best,
May 23, 2009

"This stripper is a good one, but only gets 4 stars because the blade angle is off. I have never been able to simply lay the stripper on an arrow and preform the stripping task as directed on the package. The blade does not bite, I have to raise the back of the stripper anywhere fron 1" to 3" to get the blade edge flat on the arrow to strip.
I can only report on the arrows I use~ When used to strip carbon arrows like CE maxima hunter 350's, Gold Tip Pro Hunter 55/75 and even when stripping Horton LS2 Lite bolts I have always had to free hand-strip to get the glue off.
Works pretty easy if your stripping factory fletched arrows or arrows that have been fletched with a fletching glue, but when stripping Goat Tough, Loc-Tight Super Glue or any Super glue you have to work very hard and carfully to strip without scratching the arrow.
It's my guess that all arrows fletched with a Super Glue is going to be a bit tougher so I'll keep using this one until someone showes me something better.."

Great price, strips well but angle is off,

"The base of this tool is supposed to slide along the arrow placing the blade at the correct angle to strip all the fletching and glue, but the angle isn't correct. You'll end up free handing the angle which works great. Great stripper for the money considering the only other option on Cabela's site is double the price. You'll be able to strip an arrow clean in about 10 seconds."

"It does a decent job removing fletching. You have to work at it to get it to remove glue but overall it is a good tool. Did not mar carbon arrows."

Stripper,
December 13, 2006
By Jagerhall
from MOUSA
|
"A must have tool for any home or buisness based archery shop. Especially when dealing with carbon arrows The curved blade allows the easy removal of super glue, fletch tite, even lacquer dip. All with out removing the imprint dip of carbon arrows. Once you find the balance of how to hold and the right amount of pressure you'll be repairing your arrows in no time!"

"The stripper works fairly well. It is a little tricky to get all of the glue off. It can take a couple of passes. It is small enough to carry into the field and use in camp."
