"I have tried these feathers on 500s and fatboy shafts and found them easy to attach and and found them to do as it says on the tin, they work well and are accurate and unlike plastic when they have to be pulled through they do so with ease and do not lose their shape. A good fletch."

"If you like to launch large fixed blade boardheads out of your bow don't waist your time with any other fletching. I have spent over $200 in the past 2 years tring to find a fixed blade that will group out past 40 yards. Nothing worked untill i when to 4 inch rt wing feathers. Quikspins got close but they are loud, very loud. Just save time and money, go with these feathers and put any head that you wish on the front and it will fly true."

"I have tried several different fletchings. I was using duravanes and I tried blazer vanes. I would get some great groups but consistency was a real problem. It was critical to test every arrow and then about half were worth taking into the field and half were duds that would not group reproducibly. I bought some 5 " gateway feathers and put them on with an arizona ez fletch jig. They are slightly harder to work with than the duravanes because the plastic vanes are easy to slide into the jig. I found that it takes a little more glue to make the feathers stick on to the carbon shafts I use.
Anyway, the feathers are GREAT. I have gotten superb groups with them. They group well out to 50 yards. I have had two shafts touching at 50 yards. They all work. The feathers are so large that they correct the arrow flight quickly and are extremely "forgiving." Even the arrows I fletched that are "not too pretty," fly very well. These made a huge difference in my group size. In fact, when I was adjusting my sight again, I made corrections after a single arrow. With 5 arrows, I had my sight dialed in.
Give them a try, you will not be disappointed."

"I use the Arizona fleching tool (the best tool on the market for fast fletching). Can't understand why anyone would clue one vain at a time when you can do a complete arrow in the time it takes to do one vane on other jigs. Works outstanding for plastic, you can do a complete arrow every 30 seconds. I just recently decided to go back to feathers vs plastic vanes for the forgiveness and lighter weight. With all the spays available to water proof them make no sense to use plastic. I had not fletched arrows in a couple years and had to get back in the groove. Out of 2 dozen arrows had to redo 3 because of my rustyness of doing them. The feathers fit tighter in the tool and you had to make sure you had seated them all the way and they didn't pop up or slip as you were closing the tool. Anyone who has experience fletching will have no problem. Make sure you use a cleaning fluid on the glueing surface of the feathers and arrow surface and don't touch it again with your fingers. They will stick to anything. Some I glued to a cresting and some to the shafts of aluminum shafts. Have not tried Carbon shafts yet but forsee no problem other than needing a new Arizona tool for carbon arrows. Highly recommend both the tool and Gateway feathers. The Quality of both are up to customer expectations."

"I would never use any thing but feathers and Gateway is the best feathers I have found. With feathers instead of vanes you will get tighter arrow groups, better arrow flight, and easier bow tuning. I build my own arrows and get complements on how sharp looking they are. I have several differant colors and mix and match them. I even build them for buddies that have a favorite collage or pro team colors and they love them. Almost to pretty to shoot. Ha-ha"

"After deciding to start fletching my own arrows, I figured I'd give feathers a try, since I'd be able to undo the mistake easily if I didn't like it. I used feathers to fletch half a dozen carbon arrows with a right helical twist and tried them out in the back yard. I'm a good shot, but not a great shot. After trying feathers over vanes, I'm consistently shooting dramatically tighter groups, with many shots placed virtually on top of each other. I use a whisker biscuit, and read that they tore up feathers worse than vanes. This is not true, as the feathers collapse through the biscuit and re-expand after passing through. Now, my arrows fly straighter and more accurately. I can also tell that the feathers are more forgiving of form errors on my part. If you're a typical archer, one with good form but not great form, you will be amazed at what a great shot you become after switching to feathers over vanes."
