returnabow,September 9, 2009
By gdcpsefrom MO
"Shoots well - easy to use. If I would have received the first one without a ply seperation in the limb and the second one without broken limb bolt, I would give it a five star. Called PSE the second time and they were very quick to send me not one limb bolt, but two of them."

Not at all happy,September 7, 2009
By DJUTAHfrom California
"I bought this equipment because I have a once in a lifetime Tule Elk tag for Fort Hunter Liggett, CA and thought it would be great to harvest my elk with a recurve. I expected the PSE Coyote to be a high quality made in America bow. My experiences with the PSE Coyote are limited to two. The first experience I had the bow only four (4) hours from the time UPS delivered it before one of the limbs came apart. Cabela's did an exchange and about a week later I had a new bow in my hand. That bow lasted for about 40 shots before it too came apart (lower limb). To add insult to injury, PSE Customer Service is not available when I am able to call. Yes, I am very disapointed. I should be practicing for my once-in-a-lifetime hunt, but instead find myself shopping for a new reliable bow instead. Additionally, I have the expence of the arrow rest, limb and string siliencers and custom arrows I had made just for this bow. PSE Coyote is a loose-loose. Buy something else.

Delaminated Limbs,August 18, 2009
By Basinratfrom Cal
"Bought this bow for my 13 yr old son to use in his first deer season. I figured the recurve would be good while his draw length is changing so much as he grows. He really liked the look of it. Well, the first day on the range while he was shooting it, one of the limbs delaminated separating the fiberglass from the wood. This was just above the riser. He was bummed and we needed the bow for hunting in about a week's time. We got the replacement (excellent customer service Cabela's!) after we returned home from a fishing trip just two days before our archery opener. We headed out to the woods without having shot the new bow, and on opening morning as the sun came up and warmed us (pretty radical temperature swing that morning) we heard a noise from where he had set his bow down and the new bow had delaminated in the same spot - top limb, side facing the archer just above the riser. My son said it best - " I was bummed when it happened the first time, now I'm mad". Luckily I had an old Damon Howatt 40# bow from the 60's that I have shot that I threw in the truck for whatever reason, so he had a bow for the remaining days of our hunt. If there was anything I did that might have contributed to these bows falling apart, I'd tell you guys, but I can't think of a thing. Also, a little issue is that the bow comes without a rest, we put a plunger style rest on it which really looks cool, but it is an additional expense and trip to the archery proshop. I was very disappointed in this bow. We purchased the 40# model which may have some bearing on our experience. The delaminations occurred both times in warm (not hot) sunny weather. Not sure what is going on, but it was a bad experience for us. Thank God I have a 40 yr old bow that still shoots!"

Adjustment,December 11, 2008
By Dutchguyfrom Rotterdam, Holland
"When I received the bow, I was impressed, it was lightweighted, and nice manufactured. I took an arrowrest of my old compound bow, and had to adjust this rest properly. Then I had to adjust all my arrow-nocks, because the serving on the string is rather thick, and had to change feathers on the arrows for the arrow rest I use. I use wooden arrows, so i had something to do past nights.... But when I had finished fine tuning, it is a great bow to shoot with. I can use shorter arrows, so I have more speed. The bow is accurate, but the reflex handle does not allow any mistakes. The bow is perfect for me, I can shoot with a sight, but also bare. Thank yopu PSE, it was worth the money..."

twisted coyote,November 18, 2008
By KauDonfrom Ka'u Hawaii
"When I got this bow and set it up one limb was twisted right out of the box . this was a bummer because I had great expectations. Good news was that even with the twisted limb it shot fast and had a good feel so I must send it back for a new limb but I still think it will be a great bow, I was just the unlucky customer that got the friday at the factory edition. I wish you better luck than me if you buy this bow. Hawaii Hunter"

good for the price,October 30, 2007
By DWB1from park hills mo.
"I was satisfied with the bow overall. but the limbs were a bit rough and the hand grip was a bit to fat for my hand .for a 45# pull it shoots real good up to about 35yards .good hunting bow or for first recurve. really like the fact the bow is a take down."

COYOTE TAKEDOWN,September 11, 2007
By BOWDOGfrom Oklahoma
"I have the 55lb coyote and I'm shooting Cabela's 55/75 carbons. Excellent groups and hard hitting. Only regret is the recessed riser so I can't shoot off the shelf. I put a whisker biscuit on it, can shoot feathers or vanes now. Good bow for the money."

Great bow but has issues,August 20, 2007
By vtchef99from Oxford, MS
"I bought this bow with great intentions of many great whitetail hunts. I Outfitted it with arrows and all the natural acutrements, and began to practice. Shoots great but the Bottom Limb splintered after about 300-500 Shots. I then returned it and Placed an order for Bear Bow and I am Greatly impressed."

Just a bit too heavy,June 11, 2007
By Tazzardfrom Tn
"Good quality throughout...nice design. Nice finish. A good value and a SUPERB bowfishing bow. As far as all around...it's fine if you aren't used to a well crafted wooden bow. Just can't get around that weight. Nice job though at a good price."

nice bow,March 10, 2007
By archerwifrom North WI.
"This is a great bow. I really like the unlimited number of options for accessories. It's light and is easy to string. The camo paint is very good. I have the 55lb Coyote and it closely compares to the speed of my 65lb compound bow. The only complaint I have is the first Coyote bow I purchased had a slight splinter in one of the limbs after about 50-70 shots. I returned it for a new one and have had this one for over two years without any trouble. I practice a lot during the summer and have given it a good test. I have confidence in this bow and am very pleased with it."
