Perfect rod tube!,

"This is now the second one I have purchased. The first one, I purchased 3 years ago. Still looks good as new. It is compact and the outside casing is durable. The end of the tube allows you to identify which size rod is in the tube. I only wish these tubes came in different colors. Great product!"

"I bought this rod tube for a 4 piece 9' 5 weight custom built fly rod that was delivered to me in a thin walled plastic tube. The Cabela's tube is just the right diameter and length for this rod and should protect it for a long time."

"This case is good but the tube is narrow. Two inches seems like a lot but if you have a rod with oversize guides be sure to measure first or it may not fit."

"Cabelas rod tubes have no equal when it comes to price and value. They are very well made and will protect the finest of fly rods from damage. Aluminum tubes are nice but pricey....so for less than half the cost I go with the cordura covered Cabelas rod tubes. Excellent value."

Great for road, average for air travel,

"I give it 4 stars for road travel, but 2 stars for air travel since the end has only the green cloth for protection due to no hard end cap. I don't trust plastic for protection on an airline. The product seems well-made, just don't ask it to do more than what it was designed for. I will only fly with aluminum tubes."

"At first I was unsure about buying this tube because someone wrote that the bottom was just cloth. I have faith in Cabelas and ordered the tube anyway. As it turns out the tube lining is actually a suspended rod sack which does not allow the rod to touch the botton. Wonderful design Cabelas, thank you."

"I recently ordered a pair of these tubes. The freight cost to my country is very high and it almost doubled the actual cost of the two tubes.
When I received the tubes I liked them very much for being well made, practical and functional. On further inspection I realised that one of them came with a defective zipper. I contacted CABELA'S who in no time sent another tube to me by express courrier, NO questions asked without charging me a cent.
THANK you Cabela's. My five stars go to you first and then to the product."

"Good and sturdy. Excellent for a multiple piece fly rod. Down side you must provide your own carrying strap. That was the only down side of the case. Everything else top Quality I would highly recommend."

"The bottom end of rod tube does not have a reinforced cap. It is just the cloth covering the bottom of the tube. No protection except the green fabric. Very disappointed in product."
