"If your looking for a needle eye hook, this is not the product. It is a normal hook. The photo needs to be removed and replace with the corect hook for sale. The rest of our order was satisfactory. The service was great, just not what was described on this item."

"This hooks I use because of the price advantage over other hooks,in no way compare to other premium hooks on the market,but at a much higher price.They have their limitations and need to be sharpened out of the box and they deform when subjected to average force.Be nice if manufacturers would inform on line weight limit for their hooks like rod and reel manufacturers do.I use the 8/0 to rig ballyhoo for dolphin small tuna and wahoo. I have found no replacement for this hook within their price range."

"6/0 single point hooks just right for medium saltwater lures , fish up to about 40 pounds , but wire a bit thin for larger game, just hard to tell size from website listing. good hook overall for the money but theyhave limitations"

"I bought the Mustad 34007 2-3/0. These are great hooks for the beginner saltwater fly tier - the cost is low but they're still decent hooks. Remember these hooks need to be sharpened a bit- give em quick "touch up" with a hook file right out of the box. Otherwise great hooks. Also check out the 3407 hooks - a lightweight tinned hook which is good for SW patterns on a lighter hook."

"Mustad hooks are some of the finest in all of fishing! I prefer the Mustad 34007 for fly tying and the majority of my Salt Water Fly Patterns for the Texas Coast. I keep a wide selection of them at in sizes 6 through #2/0 and tie everything from Redfish, Sea Trout and Bass Flies with them.
All Mustad Hooks are stong and sharp. These are basic features, but they are the two most important ones all true fishermen look for in a hook. Moreover, Mustad Hooks are afffordable. They are the best value for the money on the market today.
I recognize the Mustad Brand as one of quality and hope some day they expand it across new different product lines. In addtion, I look forward to all the flies I will tie on Mustad hooks and catch fish they will catch."

"My Mexican fishing friends/guides all like the Mustad hooks that I bring them, particularly the 34007. I am dismayed to find that Cabelas no longer offers the 7/0 or8/0 hooks that I need for large 'cudas. We use a double hook (one hook through the ring of a second hook) laced into a ballyhoo very effectively for everything from 'cudas to amberjacks to kings to sailfish. The hooks offered by Cabelas now just aren't big enough!"
