Not good,July 28, 2009

"Went on really hard and my husband could not get the bubbles out. We ended up peeling it off and throwing it away. My husband can do just about everything with a vehicle but he gave up on this!"

Not impressed at all,November 9, 2008
By UncleSaltyfrom Las Vegas, NV
"I ordered two rolls of clear for both mine and wife's truck to use on the painted front bumpers. I planned on having to do some work to get it to fit right, but having 10 years+ in vinyl lettering and signage I felt I could handle it. Besides, the bumpers were quite flat. I first tried a dry method and found it to be very cloudy and bubbly. Also the material scuffed easily with both the supplied squeegee and my own. So I tried the wet method, and found the results to be even less desirable. While it went on cleaner, it wouldn't stick very well to any form of curve, no matter how slight. It also wasn't "virtually invisible" as advertised, especially around curves requiring relief cuts or joints. After a few days I ended up pulling it off and tossing it as it really stood out with a really unappealing look. The biggest issue IMO is the product is way too thick for any application involving any curve. It might be fine for rockers and lower doors."

Difficult Installation,October 22, 2008
By warriorfrom Grand Rapids, MI
"The end results were nice, but the material is difficult to install. Even with the assistance of a professional body mechanic several sections had to be replaced due to "bubbling" in the curing process (vehicle not driven for 24 hours). Luckly two rolls allowed for the sections which bubbled to be re-done."

Good product,September 22, 2008
By polarissldfrom bethlehem, ct
"The film is thick and will resist chips and scraps fairly well, although using the dry application method, the film was quite cloudy and unclear."

Bodyguard Review,August 25, 2008
By HDTruckerfrom Jacksonville, FL
"This is a good clear protector. Do not even try the dry application on a piece over 6 inches square, you will get a lot of bubbles that are hard to remove. The wet application is good. The wetter the better. The product is thick so it can protect the painted surface, therefore does not mold around all shapes. A blowdryer does help to soften the product around bends. This is a good product that I will use again."

Nice Product,April 30, 2008
By Anonymousfrom Canton, NY
"I put this product on a 2005 Toyota Tundra as rocker panel protection and it looks great. The wet application method is the way to go (using soapy water) but longer pieces require two people to apply easily. Apply in the shade and squeegee a bit and you will have zero air pockets. There is plenty of time to nudge it around and get it exactly where you want it. Sticks solid in 24hrs. Use the backing to trace the pieces for the opposite side of the truck. This product does not conform to 'compound' curves so some creative trimming is necessary if your truck has some curves or flares on the rocker panel area. I plan on using the leftover for door sill protection on my CJ7."

Trimbright Bodyguard protection film,January 18, 2008
By BackCreekfrom Mount Ulla, NC
"Bought this product to protect my truck from rocks on mid-west back roads. Application was easy, as all you do is cut to fit and then use provided blade to push out bubbles. Product works as described and stayed on well through ice and snow. I haven't removed it yet, so I don't know how difficult it will be to get off, although I'm not expecting any problems. This product would be especially useful on vehicles that do not have splash guards or mud flaps. Good product."

Protective Film,October 23, 2007
By TCG1from Denver
"This film is faily thick and it does blend in quite nice once it has a few days to set up. Tight corners/contours are a bit difficult to install the film onto, but using a hair dryer or heat gun helps."

Protection Film,October 22, 2007
By Stallion34from Rock Springs, WY
"Nice and heavy and protects my truck in the spots I need it to. The only bad thing I can think of is it's not the easiest to apply to my truck, I got a lot of bubbles, even being very patient and carefull. But over all it works great and you don't mind the bubbles that appear."

"Bought this product to use on the tailgate of my pickup. The door on my cap has a rubber weather seal which hangs down and rubs off the paint on the tailgate. Repaired the paint and applied the film and it has solved the problem and looks great."

trimbrite film,July 10, 2007
By pegaminfrom SAN JOSE< CA
"Need to stock different (narrower) widths. I used it to protect my tailgate exterior paint. Camper shell was rubbing on it. Also: I tried to clean the trimbrite strip where it had been taped for shipping (after application to tailgate) . I used alcohol to remove the shipping tape adhesive & the trimbrite went dull in that area."

"Use it over the sill of the door where I get into the pickup. I was always wearing the paint off the sill. Touched up the paint and let dry. Put film over that a rea and it looks like the real thing. no more worn off paint."
