"Tent is very comfortable, secure, and easy to erect. Well made and roomy. Only problem we experienced is that when tent is attached to a Toyota Tundra with a high top Leer topper attached, tunnel to truck is not broad enough. We had to remove truck tailgate and use bungee cords to hold down hatchtop to make tunnel usable. With these fairly simple modifications, it was easy to climb from tent into bed of truck and use inflatable mattress for sleeping. I suspect that with a smaller SUV or smaller truck/topper there would not be a problem. Compared to other tents I have owned, the inside features of the tent were wonderful with ample pockets, well made zippers, seams, hooks, and such. Only feature I would improve would be the size of the tunnel opening with more zippers for adjusting."

"O.k. so we were in the Oregon mountains for 3 weeks. we had a stretch of 10 solid days of very very heavy rain.
Not to worry !
This tent stayed dry as the desert. It was so great we were blow drying our hair and watching TV etc etc.. I wrapped myself in a heating blanket and felt like a million dollars. Just like home warm & dry !!!
Not to mention we received a discount on this tent since we bought it in the late summer period.
I am seriously thinking of selling our home and living in this wonderful tent."

"Received this today and checked set-up & attachment to Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 with an A.R.E. Z Truck Cap Series. The tent set up was easy, instructions were clear, and quality of tent superb. It easily fit onto the back of the truck with tail gate down and capper top up. I needed this as an adjunct to the truck when hauling to horse shows and stabling is unavailable. It will easily work as a place to store coolers, chairs, tables and saddles/bridles and boots to keep everything dry if it starts to rain, as well as a place to change into show clothes. There is plenty of headroom...just wish it came with air conditioning too. Cabela's thought of everything when they designed this item...and the sale price made it a real bargin. Don't hesitate...it's worth it!!!!!"

"This tent fits all our camping needs. It is waterproof, easy to set up, and really helps to keep the bugs out. It allows my hubby and I to sleep in the box of our pick up, and still have room to stand, dress, and visit in the tent. Lots of room for gear as we do back road camping. Seeing as we can now sleep in our truck, we can store the food in the cab (away from the animals) but everything else with us in the tent. 2 thumbs up!!"

"The tent worked good with my jeep cherokee; No problems with rain, high winds you must use upper support ropes, its a good idea to use flaging tape to mark ropes and stakes as they are trip hazerds."

"We were really hoping that this tent would fit on the back of our Chevy Silverado.....no such luck. The extension piece only made it half way onto the truck bed, not all to the cab of the truck, which we were expecting. I definitely think this is more of a "suburban tent" rather than "truck tent". The overall tent quality seemed durable and set up was easy, just not what we were looking for."

"Before purchasing our truck tent we read the reviews. We purchased ours for a 1996 Chevy Suburban with the barn doors. One of the reviews we had read was for a chevy suburban and they said it didn't fit theirs. Naturally we were concerned it wouldn't fit our Suburban either. We set the tent up it as soon as we recieved it make sure it would fit and to become familiar with the instructions before we go camping. It fits just fine. The instructions are easy to follow and we like that every thing is color coded and the instructions are sewn inside the carry case. We do agree with other reviewers that it would be better if you didn't have to crawl under your vehicle to cinch it up to the tent. We also agree that the floor of the tent is thin so we purchased a tarp to place under it and a piece of indoor /outdoor carpet to place inside. We look forward to our first adventure in it."

"Wow! What a great find. Cabelas has great equipment. This is a really neat idea that actually lives up to its "promo pitch". We went to a wilderness ultra race and it RAINED....HARD! The tent stayed nice and dry, not a drop inside. I had done one practice set up before I left. Glad I did. I don't think one person could put this up alone. It would be a little tricky getting the roof poles into the side poles by yourself. The only glitch was when one of the roof poles came apart as we were taking the tent down. Good thing it happened when we were leaving. There is a spring thingie inside the pole and we couldn't get it back in, so in effect we wouldn't have been able to put the tent up again. But, Cabelas to the rescue with their legendary customer service. I emailed my problem and presto there was a new pole express shipped to me :) Thanks! That's why I'm a customer. We will be testing this out again at another ultra mountain race this summer. My favorite part is all the big, screened windows + you can stand up in it!!!! LOTS of room. Oh, there is also a hook in center ceiling to hang a light. (home away from home) Looking forward to many happy camping adventures with this great tent."

"We have had the tent for about 3 years and have used it 5 or 6 times. overall we really enjoyed the tent, but one of the plastic connection between the top poles and the bottom pole broke in half with what I would consider limited use."

"Fast shipping on a very nice product. I use it on a 1998 Grand cherokee and it fits like it was made for it. Easy insallation, easy to take down, easy to store. Used small bungee's to strap inside of doors on Jeep makes it much better. Worth evey penny."

"I bought this "truck tent" via the internet for a Ford F150 with a canopy. We sleep in the truck under the canopy, but wanted room for changing, and storing gear - especially in bug country or rain. The tent is fine, but the connecting "tunnel" to the truck is just not thought out at all. The tunnel opening is too narrow for the F150 tailgate and is too low for easy access to and from the truck box. The tunnel opening should be elasticized (there is a strap for tightening - UNDER the truck!). I am dismayed to find that the tunnel has no waterproof fly over it! We have not used it yet, and I am considering returning it."

"Mom and I compete in dog agility and we are on the road a lot. We stayed in our new truck tent at the last trial and it was GREAT! I got to sleep on the floor, nice and cool and mom slept in the truck. She only needed a little help from another dog mom to get the tent up off the ground, the rest was a piece of cake. We even left the house and took the truck to dinner one night. That was pretty slick. She had it down and packed in about 20 minutes even with the wind blowing. I really like our new tent and look forward to our next trip."
