"I read a lot of reviews about these not working well with hand guns. They cycle just fine in my Baretta .40 S&W. Tight pattern at point blank range but spread FAST after about 10 feet out. Seems like it will be a great snake and small critter shot. Ordering was easy. Shipment was prompt. I'm pleased."

"I have purchased alot of ammunition from cabela's and I am very satisfied with all of it. I have my own personal indoor 100 yard shooting range so I do enjoy shooting. My favorite caliber to shoot is the 17 hmr I absolutley love it ! Cabela's is a very easy way to get ammunition, just a few clicks and they send it right to my door!"

great ammo for a .45 acp,

"Got a box of these a while back. Decided to try them out on the range. Fired 1 round at 15 feet. Great pattern & worked great in my 1911 kimber .45acp. I have read what others have said about this being good for snake killing. I agree 100% with that. These are great for self defence."

"i have a judge witch can shot shotgun 410 or colt 45. when i shot the 410 its sweet out of a handgun but it spreds fast. thats what i dont like. with the shot shell it dosnt spred as fast. but it dosnt pack the punch like a 410 dose. over all there about the same but for all those guns that cant shot a 410 like the judge. its perfect for rattlesnakes and stuff like that. over all its a good shot."

Great grouse busters,

"I bought these to carry on the ATV when riding in rattler country in both .40 SW and .38 spl. I haven't used them for this purpose yet so can't vouch for them that way. I will say that they are great grouse busters though. My CCW is a S&W 637 in .38spl and these rounds made quick work putting down two ruffed grouse I stumbled upon off trail and in thick timber. Sweet."

"Have not shot any of the CCI Pistol shotshell ammunion in my .380 Special revolver. Appears to be a top quality round. Difficult to load with the speed loader, but it works for keeping extra rounds on hand. As far as I know this is the only shotshell in .357 caliber."

"I recently purchased this item to use when necessary for snakes and other small hard to hit pests. My area of the U.S. is currently experiencing a serious problem due to rabies infecting the wild animal population. Many of the infected animals are small, i.e. bobcats, skunks, foxes, etc. I'm not a great shot and for close range targets such as these small mammals I believe that I stand a better chance of hitting my target with CCI Shotshell ammo.
I have target fired the ammo and find it to be quite satisfactory. With my S&W model 620 (.357 magnum 4" barrel), at approximately 15 feet, the ammunition spreads a pattern about 1 foot in diameter. That is perfect for the circumstances that I envision.
I highly recommend this product."

First impression not good.,

"I purchased two packs of 10 shells to use in my M&P 40. The gun only has a couple hundred shots thru it as it is only a couple of months old. I took a full clip (10 shots) to the range with me to see how they cycle thru the gun.
I had three jams in those 10 shots and was disappointed in that. However the spread of the shots of the shells that did fire was even acorss the target at 20 feet.
My thought is that once the recoil spring in my M&P has a couple thousand shots thru it to loosen the spring a bit, the shells may cycle thru the unit better.
Physically the shells are 1.085 inches in length compared to the standard 1.130 for the S&W40....this may be a factor in the cycling of the load. This combined with the 115 grain load vs a 135-180 grain for other shells. I am not an expert by no means but I thing that the 115 grain load my not have enough force to cycle the slide....that just a guess.
I would recommend taking these loads to your range to make sure that they cycle thru a semi and not just assume they going to when you actually have to use them. I am going to try again with my M&P in a few months after I get a couple thousand more shots thru it."
