"I am a hunter first, skeet shooter second. I have found the Galco recoil pad to work extremely well on my Beretta side by side shotgun. It does not catch on my shirts or jackets, and provides very good recoil relief. In addition, the grade of leather is very durable and has an excellent finish."

"I use the slip on with my SKB 12 G Double and it works perfectly. Gives me just eh LOP I need. Also when heavy clothing season arrives you can go without. Perfect solution. Very durable. I would recommend however that you get a larger size than you think, it will fit better."

"Nice looking pads with high quality leather. I purchased this item to add a little extra length of pull without resorting to the cheap and sticky rubber pads. It did the job perfectly. The fit was as good as could be expected and I get a little extra protection for the likely to get scratched butt end to boot."

"The Galco slip on pad is and does just what it is supposed to. It's probably not as classy to look at as a laced on pad, but it is much handier to install and remove. I purchased it to use on a shotgun whose length of pull is perfect for late season hunts where extra clothing will be used but is a bit short when in just a shirt. It has made this shotgun much more versatile and useful. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase another should the need arise."

"I am very tall and unless I get a custom stock shotguns don't fit well. I have two of these Galco pads and am most pleased with them. The go on very snugly and, as the ads cleaim, they look quite nice. On one gun I changed the pitch by putting additional padding in one end of the Galco. Works like a charm! I did this in the field whilst shooting clays, and experimented until it was 'just right'. For another gun I cut some 1/8 inch thick cork inserts and was able to add 3/8-inch to the pad's thickness and finally got the gun's lop correct. What is nice about the Galco is that it is 'easy-on, easy-off' and lets one experiment readily. Also, even with the 3/8 inch additional cork stuck into the pad, it doe not look funny and still seats firmly and well on the stock. Moreover, the Galco does help absorb some recoil shock. In addition to looking good, it is a robust item - I shoot several hundred rounds a week and both my pads are still in great condition - functionally and cosmetically. All in all, this is a very good pad at a very fair price."
