"This stock fit like a glove. Very easy to install and makes the rifle look 100% better. I also like that you don't have to do any modifications to the gun to fit it. I am very satisfied so far, the range here is closed down for repair so I will have to wait to shoot it with the new stock."

Almost drop-in fit...,

"Mine fit but had to be pressed and squeezed together along the barrel and where the barrel and receiver meet. About 30 minutes with a dremel and file and it went together smooth. At the factory someone got crazy putting the rear swivel stud in because it was completely blown out. The threads in the fiberglass were stripped. I could have bought a longer stud and simply drilled the hole in farther but I decided to give JB Weld a try. It fixed it right up and is extremely solid. All in all, a very good product and I have a very nice looking rifle with the scope mount kit installed as well."

"This stock was almost a "drop-in" for my M1891/30. (Tula 1932- Hex type receiver) The alignment between the upper and lower sections was not perfect, but about 20 minutes with a dremel tool got the alignment between the receiver and floorplate/magazine correct. The design of the Mosin is such that without the front bands, there is nothing holding the receiver and barrel into the stock forward of the front floorplate screw. With the heat generated from use (at the range, one or two shots hunting wouldn't make a difference) the plastic stock softened slightly and separated from the barrel by about 1/2" or more. Either adding a barrel band, changing the plastic compound, or adding an internal metal reinforcement lengthwise in the stock to prevent warpage with heat would be a big improvement for target shooting. Remember, these old military rifles had handguards over the barrel for a reason, they get HOT, and stay hot for quite a while after only a few rounds. Overall, this is a decent replacement for an unusable wood military stock. Some of the Russian stocks on these were total garbage, or armory rebuilds that are not much to begin with. If you have an early Mosin with a good stock, use it. If you have wartime production or a cobbled up beechwood or soft maple stock, this synthetic is a good alternative."

"I just received this for my Mosin Nagant m91/30. I've heard mixed reviews about the fitment of this stock so I was a little skeptical.
However, it took me about 3 mins to literally drop my receiver into the new stock. Everything lined up and fit perfectly! I have no complaints and now my old Mosin has a sporty new look.
I'm also a fan of the slightly raised cheek well and the built in recoil pad on this stock. Definitely a great purchase!"

"o.k....now I know that they advertise it as "no machining needed...it drops right in" ...I was a bit skeptical....but, THEY ARE RIGHT! It took me a whole 5 minutes to switch out the old stock for the new one...looks great and it literally did just drop right in! I love it."

"This stock fits me SO much better than the original military stock. I had to relieve the barrel channel a bit as it was a bit snug. Other than that, I didn't have to make any mods!"

"The stock itself seems well made and would probably work well for a right handed shooter. Unfortunately the stock has a cheeck pad for a right handed shooter. My complaint is that there is no mention for this particular product that it is for right handed shooters only."

"Looks and feels good." Drops right in(but not good). This tock did drop right in my 91/30 but, it sits uneven and makes the trigger rub against the trigger guard and sticks after the trigger is pulled. I had to chisel out material on the high side of the stock. It took me a while to get it just right but now it's fine. You get what you pay for and since it's the only one out, you have to buy it."
