Not enough Guides,December 24, 2008

"I bought the BYAG307 guide set for a first spinning rodbuilding project, thinking I was saving hassle. There's nothing wrong with the guides in the set, but its the ones that Fuji doesn't include that make the set a waste of time. It comes with a size 30 guide, which is too big for all but the largest spinning rods. My project needs a size 25 I learned, which is not in the set. The set also needs more number 6 guides to really install the guides in a true concept system manner. If the company can't package it's product properly, perhaps Cabellas could create its own sets for the beginning rod builder.
Nothing wrong with what I ordered, but after getting it I now have to place another order, pay another shipping charge, and wait that much longer to have all the peices I need to complete the rod."

"Don't really notice much between these and the more expensive silicon carbide guides. The concept system makes for longer casting and I like look of plain black guides."
