Easy Finish to use,May 11, 2009
By HappyFishermanfrom Virginia
"I recently used this product to finish a guide winding I had wrapped for a rod repair. The product is easy to apply, & being water based, clean-up is a simple matter of running your brush under the hot water tap. My only additional comment would be that it took about 10 coats to match the epoxy finish on the rest of my rod, but the drying time was fast, so coats can be quickly applied & the final result is great."

"Good product, I used it as a filler instead of a thinned epoxy and it seems to be holding up very well, i like the dry time too!"

nice finish,February 28, 2008
By boniefrom Eastgreenbush New York
"I like the no mixing, but I thought it was a little on the thin side, how ever I could recoat in an hour. The finish is clear and has a nice luster. will have to wait for the spring striper run to test the durability."

"Very watery. it is good fo quick fixes, but to complete a rod takes multiple coats; aproximately 10-12. Waste more time in the long run."

This stuff is so cool!,October 9, 2007
By steelydeaconfrom Cleveland, Ohio Area
"I remember the old days when finishing or touching up a damaged rod was such a messy affair. But this varnish can be used anywhere in a pinch, or as a top quality finish in the workshop. Brush it on your high quality graphite blanks, or just sqeeze some on your finger and smooth it on a damaged area while on the water. Then just rinse it off your hands with water for clean-up! Once it dries, it's immune to the elements and hard as nails! You'll love it!"

Went on GREAT, but time will TELL,July 19, 2007
By flycastingbasserfrom Utah
"This stuff goes on great, dries fast!! I used it over feather inlays and its smooth as glass!! The fact that its water based makes me wonder how durable it will be? But it applies great! And dries super fast between coats!!! Guess we'll see in time??"
