TIPTOPS FOR FISHING RODS,

"OVER THE YEARS I HAVE USED CABELA'S FISHING FEAR EXCLUSIVELY. AFTER YEARS OF USE IN THE SUN AND RAIN THE TIPTOPS SOMETIME BECOME LOOSE DUE TO GLUE DETERIORATION. THE REPLACEMENT TIPS LAST AS LONG AS THE ORIGINALS. THE REPLACEMENT TIPS SEEM TO BE HARDER THAN THE ORIGINSALS, I HAVE NEVER WORE ON E OF THEM OUT."

"I had two rods that required tip repair. Everything that I needed was thare, and the kit glue worked very well. I have enough tips to last me for quite a while."

"I wan't sure this would work BUT it did and I have caught fish with my repaired pole. There is large selection of sizes and you can fix numerious poles. The only thing i suggest is not use a match or fire. a controled heat is safer. I use my butane soldering iron with the catalyst tip on low heat.
I'll buy anouther kit if I run out of the correct size."

Rod Tip Repair Kit works great,

"The kit was relatively inexpensive and quick and easy to use.
I probably will not need another tip repair kit for a very long time because of all the parts included in the kit.
I just estimated which tip i needed and heated the glue as instructed and it work great. One tip - I used a small candle to head the glue and a bench vise to hold my rod this left both hands free to work witht the glue stick and the tip. It could not have been easier. I used the rod on a fishing trip last week and it seems to be holding ok so far."

"I fish a lot of rocky areas and tend to put a lot of wear on my gear. After discovering chipped tip tops on a couple of rods, I searched for some variety kit to hopefully repair all of them. This kit seemed right up my alley, but the part they don't tell you is that all of the tops are for light rods. It would help to have a sizing guide on the web page showing the ACTUAL sizes instead of the cryptic # listed. At least the kit comes with the sizing guide which gave me the information I needed to re- order the best sizes for me."

"No size was indicated in the catalogue. The tips were for fly type rods only. Not for casting/spinning rods. If you need repair for tiny Tips the kit would be excellent............"

"The rod tip repair kit should have sizes for different rod diameters. This kit is for very small crappie rods yet doesn't state that in the product info that you read to buy from."
