"I have ripped out many trout with these lures fishing the rivers in Alberta and BC. I enjoyed puting them together and giving my work to mt family and friends to enjoy. I will buy more and encourage others to do the same. If this is something that will become a hobbie buy the pliers that make the loops for tying your line on it will make things a bit easier to me that was the only issue."

"This kit was purchased for my teen daughter, who is becoming an avid fisher and already is more expert than her Dad... I was disappointed that all the pieces pretty much came in a bag, as opposed to a compartmentalized plastic box. There were no directions. Because she is smarter than I, my daughter figured it out before too long, but only after doing a bit of Net research.. "Do we have any needle-nose pliers?" If you're already a pro, you don't need directions, but you shouldn't assume.... In a few weeks, we'll know whether anything bites."

That was a little over a month ago, to date I have caught 4 silvers (Coho) 2 king (Chinook) salmon and 1 nice hatchery summer run steelhead trout. "If you like to fish with in-line style spinners for trout, this kit is a great value and these home made lures will really catch fish! I have used these spinners on the Yellowstone, Gallatin, Stillwater and Madison Rivers and they work great. The cost savings over buying pre made lures is huge as well."
