Used for Plug Dryer,December 4, 2008
By Anonymousfrom Long Island, New York
"It works great. It spins a drum and 4 surf fishing plugs. I spin the plugs for at least 2 hours or more. The motor has no problem with the load. I had to do a lot of fabrication to attach the motor to the drum, but it works great and spins at a great drying speed."

Drying Motor,July 21, 2008
By MikeMT
"This motor was bought to turn a rod while the epoxy was drying. I accidentally broke the internal gears (my fault) and decided to open it up and take a look. While opening it up the metal case that holds the two halves together broke. It seemed like it was cheap metal. Inside I found a network of gears that were made from a cheap plastic which did not stand up to my abuse. For about the price of this motor one with metal gears that is 100 xs tougher was purchased. Other than being a little slow for my tastes, this motor would work for what it was intended, but you must be very careful with it. This is the first bad experience I have had with any Cabelas product so I see it as a bad product that slipped in with the rest. I would not recommend it to a friend."

CABELA,S DRYING MOTOR,April 30, 2008
By FLYTOMfrom NEW MEXICO
"I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THAT EVEN THOUGH THE PICTURE IN CATALOG SHOWS A ROD ATTACHED TO THE MOTOR THE MOTOR ONLY HAS THE SHAFT, WITH NO OBVIOUS METHOD TO ATTACH THE ROD. I AM NEW AT ROD BUILDING, SO WAS UNAWARE OF REQUIRED ITEMS AT THE TIME I ORDERED....."

"The motor is just what I needed. I broke the first motor. What is needed is a good way to attach the rod to the motor."
