"It is with great pleasure that I write this review for the Ultra Min-e Bark Collar. I live in Australia and found the collars surfing the net!. I ordered three for my adult schnauzer dogs, and what a surprise they turned out to be. The collars commenced working from the moment I placed them onto the dogs. Within 6 hours all of my dogs had stopped barking and I now find that they come to me a great deal more as I am not yelling at them constantly to stop barking. I live on 10 acres and the dogs have a great deal of room to roam. Bordering my property there are cattle on adjoining land and also neighbors passing the front of the property on a regular basis. The Ultra Min-e Bark Collar’s have assisted completely with the problematic barking and have reduced our stress considerably. The batteries have not been replaced since I have received the collars and it has now been 5 weeks since receiving the collars. I do however remove the Ultra Min-e Bark Collar’s at sundown and bed my dogs down in their kennels. My congratulations go to Cabela’s for stoking such a helpful item. In the last week I have placed the collars on the dogs but not turned them on. They have worked a treat.

"We live in town, and we had to find a way to keep our beagle quiet.. We bought this collar took it home and it kept him quiet. the great thing is the box on the collar is removable, we found this out when another dog chewed the collar off our beagle.. So we just found another old collar and stuck the box on it.. easy fix.."

"Does not seem to be consistant with signal when dog is barking. We have a very small dog and this may be playing a roll. It seems you have to have it fairly snug to the dog's throat in order for it to work properly."

"I was concerned when I purchased this smaller unit that it would not work as well as the larger, more expensive units, since my dog is rather dumb and very stubborn, but I was extremely pleased with its performance. I thought that my dog's learning curve would definitely go through several batteries, so I purchased the 2 extra batteries. The unit comes with 1 battery installed and 1 extra, so I had 4 batteries. To my surprise, my dog was quiet within 2 days and on the first battery! It has 8 power settings and I keep mine on #3, which seems to work perfectly. I strongly recommend this product to anyone with a dog barking problem. It fixes the problem without hurting your wallet. It is well-made and water-proof.

"This product is ok exept the shock button sticks. My dog was exposed to long shock when I went to correct him. The button got stuck so I had to rip the collar off. I only had the collar for 4 months. Since it is over the experiation date I can not get it fix.
Please beware of the controller for this shock collar. But it did help us train our dog."

"This is the second one of these I've bought and all I can say is: THEY WORK!!! I still haven't changed a battery, so I don't know what other reviewers are talking about. I only use it when I let my dogs outside. It's not something that should be left on constantly in my opinion, so maybe that's why my batteries are still good."

"At first this collar worked great and definately kepy my little dog quiet. But then, it just suddenly quit working. It wasn't the batteries, it wasn't my dog's hair, it just quit working (it wouldn't even work on our other dog, who it would have worked on had it been working). So we called Cabela's and they offered us a new one, though we instead opted to buy a different model this time. All-in-all, I wouldn't recommend this product, it's cheap for a reason."

"This collar works pretty good, but it needs battteries ever two weeks or less, if you turn it off 12 hours a day. Leave it on overnight and bye bye battery. DT literature suggest lithium batteries will last a month.Looked everwhere for lithuim 6v batteries couldn't find them anywhere. Called DT Systems and asked for a source they could't give me one. Suggested I go with a rechargable collar.Even though I love my other DT systems training collars, I just ordered 2 of the Dogtra yapper stopper YS500s."

"We purchased this item for our dog that we take with us in the pickup she always wants to bark at every thing it was very annoying. We put the collar on her one time and took her for a ride we told her no barks when she did bark the collar shocked her, she thought it was something the pickup did to her. She barked off and on the rest of the way to town and by the time we came back from town there was no barking at all. Now she goes with us in the pickup and she does not bark at all."

"I purchased this collar in the hopes of stopping my 8 month old mini-poodle from barking frantically every time I let him out into our fenced in back yard. He would do this at any time of day or night and I was sure the neighbors would complain if I couldn't stop him. I put the collar on him, set it at 5, made sure it was tight (I had to cut some off the strap as it would have wrapped around his neck 3 or 4 times!) and sent him out. After the first 3 or 4 barks, I heard a yelp and instant silence. Now, if I let him out without the collar, (during the mid day hours, for instance) he still barks, but not as much, and when he has it on there is no barking at all. He has obviously figured out that the collar means no barking. I found it easy to use and it really works! It is the only collar out there that would fit his tiny neck. The only problem is having to replace the battery, instead of having a chargeable collar, but that isn't a really big deal."
