"As a charter boat captain I must use the highest quality gear or it simply will not stand up to the tough use it sees. This line performs up to my high standards. It's used for trolling the tube and worm rig for big striped bass and bluefish. The 18# lead core is perfect for shallow water out to 30ft. rigged on a 7ft. rod with a level wind reel. I've taken fish to 35lbs. and have had no trouble with the line."

"I have been using Cabelas Lead Core Line for about 6 or 7 years and I have had no trouble with line breaks ect. The good thing I think about the line is the Color Chart that comes with the line is always the same sequence all the time. Reccommend this line to the deep trollers."

"I use this lead core line fishing down deep for stripers. It does fantastic job and has not let me down yet. I have 27# spooled on a Penn 309 and I was able to fit the whole 200 yards of lead core line on the spool. I also have another 309 spooled with 36# and I was able to get 190 yards on out of a 200 yard spool. Very pleased with this line and will buy again for sure!"

"A Very good leadcore line. Because the core lead is quite soft
I get less kinks than other brands and the diameter is small compared to some other brands. Also the outer dacron is smooth so it slides through the rod guides with very little friction. The only drawback is that because the core lead is
quite soft it can be a little tricky getting it out when tying a
knot. Still my favorite leadcore line."

"I've used Cabela's 18# test lead core for a few years primarily for Walleye fishing. However, my daughter did land a 26# - 8oz. Striped Bass on the same line. I "accidentially" landed a 44# - 5oz. Blue Catfish while trolling for Walleye. Compared to the other brands available I've tried, Cabela's is as good as it comes and very competitively priced."
