"I use this powder for my 458 Lott. Using 72 grains of this powder I have always had nothing but success in the reloading of this caliber. My son just recently hit a metal target (12" diameter) at 200 yards using a Ruger 1H rifle. The powder is great!"

"I was asked to review ALL of IMR powder in one review, which is a bit of a stretch, but here goes. there are so many different applications as to make reviewing IMR powders a difficult task.
I use IMR-4227 for magnum pistols and 30 carbine. IMR-3031 for .35 Rem, 30-30, 45-70, 300 Sav, and 243win, I use IMR-4831 for 7X57 and 30-06. and IMR-4320 for 300 Sav and 243win.
In general this brand of extruded powder burns clean and gives consistant velocities. My .44 magnum revolver utilizing 4227 has been used mulitiple times to take deer at 50+ yards. Most of my rifle loads shoot sub minute of angle groups, and I have taken deer with various loads of various IMR powders.
As I weigh all my stick powder loads I cannot tell how well it meters through powder measures."

IMR 4064 Rifle Powder,

"IMR 4064 is a very clean burning and consistent performer. New loaders should be aware that it is a cylinder powder and therefore they need to be prepared for carefully measuring the individual charges from their manual poweder measures. (The 4064 powder breaks at different lengths which causes some fluctuation in weight drops)
I have found that 4064 will produce excellent results, particularly for "beanfield" and "varmint" cartridges. Most reloading manuals and bullet manufactures produce load tables for 4064 for cartridges ranging from Rem 22-250 up to 7X57 (7mm Mauser). I have successfully built sub-minute of angle loads using 4064 that have held that level of performance over many years and seasons."
