Electro-plated with a pure, copper jacket that covers the swaged lead core
so there's no lead exposed to hot gases from burning gunpowder - the
cause of lead vapors that can accumulate at dangerous levels at shooting
ranges. Electro-plating produces a molecular bond so strong between the
copper and lead that they will not separate when fired. Cleaner shooting
and less barrel fouling. Consistently proven accurate in independent
tests. Per 500.

Great price, good quality and healthy to boot,October 19, 2009
By marpacofrom Fort Worth, TX
"If you shoot a lot of indoor sessions, you will appreciate the benefits of zero lead exposure. I fire a good amount of Lead Semi-Wad-Cutters since the ammo availability became an issue. At first I thought it was my imagination but soon I became convince that all lead exposed bullets do have a certain "smoke cloud" to it that is simply not there when firing the same propellant on a lead-safe cartridge. Rainier is my only choice when loading for indoor use.
Accuracy is very good and price is great compared to full metal jacket rounds. However, remember that it is not a true jacket, and therefore, its terminal ballistics characteristics (penetration without as much projectile deformity) are not the same. Still, a great choice. I will continue buying this stuff in bulk!"

Rainier .38 cal 158 gr FP bullets,September 11, 2009
By mrmoafrom Virginia
"I've loaded & shot several hundred rounds using this bullet in a .357 revolver. Remember these are plated, not jacketed- keep velocities at or below 1,200fps, and you should obtain great results. My first loads for a new 686 w/ 4X scope was 5/8" @ 25 yards. These bullets don't like much crimp either. I use a slight taper crimp. If loaded correctly, and used within their design parameters Rainiers are excellent bullets."

Rainier leadsafe bullets,September 1, 2009
By Charlie1950from Louisville, KY
"I've been using these in both .380 and .45 cal, and they are practically indistinguishable from full jacket bullets, especially the .45 hollow points. Shoot very well, and for the price, can't be beat."

Great Bullets,June 24, 2009
By MonolithicSolidfrom Oklahoma
"I tried the 230 grain FMJs in my Government .45 and they performed admirably. Accuracy was good. The jacket material on these bullets is thinner than what we normally find on full metal jacketed bullets, therefore, they expand a little in tough substances like sand. I suppose it would be fair to call them full metal jacketed expanding bullets and that's not a bad thing."

Great indoor range bullet,June 16, 2009
By JSAHfrom Mountains of West Virginia, gotta love them!
"In my reloads I'm using the Rainier bullet to comply with our range requirements to keep lead contamination to a minimum. These bullets along with the Magtech primers closely match the OEM loads with a significant saving over the factory product."

Highly Impressed...,May 21, 2009
By NDTerminatiorfrom Devils Lake ND
"I had been using Rainer Ballistics Lead Safe 200 grain Flat Points in my 45 ACP loads for some time with excellent results, so I decided to try their 44 caliber 240 grain Flat Points in my 6" S&W 629. I was getting considerable leading using Oregon Trail's hard cast 240s, and was hoping to eliminate or cut down on this with the copper plated Lead Safes. When they arrived I started with the same mid-level load (1125FPS, OAL 1.58" and medium crimp) that has been my favorite with the Laser Cast for years. From the bench, my first group with the Lead Safes at 25 yards was 1" center to center and duplicated POI with the Laser Casts. It was nice to not have to tweak the load at all and the accuracy was excellent! Leading was pretty much non-existent and there was the same or less copper fouling as I get when shooting premium jacketed hollow points at the same velocity. Economical, accurate, and minimal fouling, all things considered I am highly impressed with the Rainer Ballistics Lead Safe 44 Caliber 240 grain Flat Point . I'll be ordering some of their 240 grain HPs in the near future..."

Rainier Copper Jacketed Bullets,May 19, 2009
By SirThomasfrom Williston, Fl.
"Excellent bullets. I have loaded over 1500 of these in 3 different calibers with no problems. No buckling of the jacket, no deformed bullets and all seem to be very uniform. I will not hesitate to use these in the future, and have 1000 in 2 calibers right now on backorder. An excellent alternative to lead bullets and less expensive than the other brand jacketed bullets."

good product,April 21, 2009
By bluebill01from Louisiana
"I think I'll like them. I was looking for some bullets to load that I can use with full moon clips. I normally use hollow base wadcutters for target shooting , but they take too much time to load in moon clips, you have to use something semi-wadcutters that will load faster, otherwise you're defeating the purpose on the clips. Just for information, how much faster are they? Jerry Miculek used them to set the record for the fastest time for 12 shots with a six shot revolver. 2.99 seconds. They should also prevent leading. The bullets I have been using , swaged lead semi-wadcutters, lead so bad that the rifling is full of lead after just 30 shots and now cost almost as much as the Rainier bullets."

excellent range bullets,April 20, 2009
By asnakebitefrom Phoenix, Arizona.
"I bought the 357 flat point bullets. I am firing them at 1250 feet per second with no noticable copper buildup, and of course, the copper plating prevents barrel leading. The bullets are very economical. Very happy with the product and will buy it again."
