MEC 9000G,September 11, 2009
By fxrronfrom Lake Wales, Florida
"I have four of the MEC 9000G's, one in each gauge. The loader does a great job of turning out factory looking shotshells with each pull of the handle in the progressive mode which enables someone to turn out a high volumn of shells with little effort. I also like the way the machine allows it to load one shell at a time which is very useful when setting things up for a new load. The automatic powder and shot cut off while indexing one round at a time is truly one of the main reasons I decided on a MEC 9000G. All you have to do is dump shot or pwder all over your bench one time and you will know what I'm talking about. I would recommend the product to anyone who shoots a lot of shells and wants to save money by reloading."

MEC9000 GN learning curve,August 30, 2009
By MikeinLouisianafrom Louisiana
"First let me say the only place to buy a MEC 9000 is at Cabelas. I ended up returning mine and they were very nice.
My 9000 was not ready out of the box. The new primer feeder was all the way against the powder tube and I had to adjust that to give the shells room to feed between them. It was my first progressive reloader and I did not expect the problems I had. You will end up with shot and lead everywhere if you are not very careful.
If you spill either---stop---clean everything including the primer seat and the shell lifter and sizer.
You should have a mental check list before pulling down on the handle. Anything that causes the handle not to completely go to the bottom means problems. Did the primer drop? is the wad straight? did the plastic crimp started stay in place? did the shell go completely to the bottom of the sizer?
It was more involved than I wanted so thanks Cabelas for taking it back. I spent the entire credit while I was in the store."

Amazing Reloader,April 3, 2009
By hotshottfrom Pittsburgh, PA
"The Mec 9000G is the best reloader I have ever used. The 9000 throws shells out at amazing speeds. Not only is it fast, but accurate and dependable. I have put out thousands of shells and had probably 5 get screwed up. The Mec 9000G is the only way to go."

Solid Performer,December 24, 2007
By TheProffrom Nebraska
"I have used the 9000 hydraulic and manual models. The hydraulic is definitely better! Very smooth operation and delivers dependable reloads. The 9000H is my 12ga reloader. I have loaded many thousands of rounds through it. I send it back to the factory every couple of years for a tune-up, cleaning and refurbishing. It is worth doing that. The 9000G was my 28ga reloader. I had trouble getting reliable drops of powder. I think it was due to not pushing the handle ALL THE WAY to the bottom of the cycle...a problem I have never had with the 9000H. Lesson...I should have bought a 9000H for reloading 28ga as well! I have three Mec's and for the money they are workhorses! I reload 12, 28 and .410 and all work well. They are a good value and last forever! If you want good dependable operation without spending twice to three times as much, Mec is hard to beat! With my 9000H I can do 300 hulls/hour and they lood good. With only minor maintenance, I reload about 10,000 hulls per year sometimes more, and the Mecs deliver a great reload each time."

"The reloader works very well, but required some minor adjustments. I now have more time to shoot and less time for reloading. The reloader is very effecient and works quickly. I appreciate working with Cabela's. Your company is very professional and my orders have come on time."

In Love the MEC 9000G!,July 9, 2007
By AndrewAfrom Markle, IN
"The MEC 9000G is very easy to operate. I purchased one new and it came with MEC's new primer feed system. After 30 minutes I had it assembled and mounted to my bench! I loaded 100 shells in 15 minutes! The system did not need any adjustments. The factory settings were good. MEC makes everything easy to use and understand. MEC's web site and customer service is outstanding. Thank You MEC! A customer for life! Andrew P.S. MEC's new primer feed system is GREAT!"

Best of the MEC,June 23, 2007
By advantageWLfrom Coarsegold CA
"If you are a skeet or trap shooter, buy one and you will not regret it. The machine itself is very solid. I don't know about the "New" primer feeder as I have only used the older one but I can tell you this, with this machine my only complaint with the machine is running out of emptys, wads, primers or powder. You can crank em out, they look and shoot well, and the machine is built to last. My other complaint is that MEC doesn't stand behind the machine like they should and if something does go bad, you will have to pay for it when you ship it to them (normal), they replace your parts or make your adjustments to get it working, and ship it back with charges that I believe are out of line. Short of Mec not backing he product like other manufactures do (think blue), this is a nice machine. I loaded on a 9000G for 2 years for a couple of us and we probably shot 15,000 to 20,000 rounds a year, all loaded with this machine in my house. It cranks em out.
Oh, and for the blue machine you pay about twice as much, so for most, this is a good choice."

Reloading -- better than ever,November 24, 2006
By WarrenAfrom Fredonia, NY
"Because of the new primer feeder, the MEC 9000G reloader is better than ever. The new feeder makes reloading much quicker with far fewer missed primers. The 9000G was always a great reloader -- fast, efficient, and very smooth. Who would have thought it could be better? Well, it is. I currently own three 9000Gs, a .410, a 28 gauge and a 20 gauge. The 20 gauge is the only one with the new primer feed and what a difference. I also own two MEC 650s (12 ga. and a 20 ga.), two MEC 600 Jrs. (16 ga. and 28 ga.), and one MEC 700 Sizemaster (12 ga.) Of the reloaders that are not 9000Gs, the 650 is the fastest. However, with the 9000G I can reload boxes of shells four times faster than the 650. That is no exaggeration, and with the new primer feeder, it is even more efficient. I shoot skeet once or twice a week, so loading a couple hundred shells need not take as long as it used to. The MEC 9000G is a fantastic working reloader."

9000G,November 2, 2006
By Mercman1from Wisconsin near Lake Winnebago
"For the money, this reloader will do the job. You could spend more money on one that's more expensive, but after you use the 9000G you'll see why you don't need to. I don't get out to shoot trap, skeet or sporting clays as much as I'd like, but I've already made my money back by reloading using the 9000G. Once you get it set up and accustomed to it, you'll have a case of shells reloaded before you know it. Great product."
