"either the lead is too hard or they are so under powerd they will not expand the slug to engage the rifleing.the gun appears to be in good shape.the bullet tumbles after leaving the barrel even at 10 ft.maybe its the gun but i don't think so"

45 colt Ammo review,

"Fired the Winchester John Wayne Ammo (45 colt) and the Black Hills 45 colt ammo -- prefer the Black Hills. Fired both ammo's at 25, 50, 75 and 100 feet for a Winchester "Trails End" Model 94 and Uberti 1873 (45 colt) and the Black Hills provided better shot group and recoil control. Of course, at the time I was looking to try some different brands for firing both weapons."

"Ammunition shot ok out of standard 38 colt, but does not work well in precussion revolver converstions, with .375 bbl. The solid base bullet will not expand to fit rifling, so they were inaccuate."

"The ammo is good shooting but every once in a while the cartridge will not go all the way in the cylinder. I have to force it in and when you eject the live round you can see where the lead had rubbed on the cylinder. But other then that is shoots good and is very accerate."
