Works well - fun for kids and adults,

"The minnow seine works well. We took it to the beach on vacation and the kids spent hours each day catching all sorts of creatures in the bay. They also caught plenty of minnows for bait. Be sure to use very strong poles for the ends and tie them on well."

"My only complaint is that the net is not the same width all the way across - one end is definitely shorter, (less wide) than the other. It makes it a little harder to work with."

"I took the net I recieved and used 2 aluminum, 1 inch square tubing poles, 5' long. I attached the net and used hockey tape around the ties so they don't slip. The net works great. Not to much drag and the weights are perfect for the river."

"I recently bought one of the 4' X 10" nylon minnow seines. I found out when seining a small pond that the weights on the bottom are too small to hold the net to the bottom and that the floats on top go under when the slightest obstuction, such as moss, gets in the net.
Net itself seems plenty good, just the weights and float issues makes this a less than satisfying product."

"These are very good seine nets. They are durable when dragged over rocks, dry quickly and catch a good size range of fish. The mesh size will not allow you to catch very small fish (less than about 2 cm), but that is an acceptable trade-off with the larger mesh size allowing ease of seine movement through water. These are nice seines for biological research purposes. Cheap, tough, effective, and quickly available via internet/mail-order."

"great product, paid for itself in only one use. the price of minnows and the fact that the minnow sellers actually count the dozen you buy, forced us to look for alternative measures. we walked the shallow beach shores of lake huron and collected just the right kind of minnow for the perch we were fishing for and limited out the first day. what a great product!"
