"Trap is sturdily constructed, if used per directions, included with trap, readily captures minnows. Saving in bait purchases, and is just fun to gather your own bait. Would readily recommend to friends. An ideal purchase for any fisherman who uses live bait."

Frabill minnow trap,

"I took the product out of the box and the snap "crumbled" on the first usage. It is "potmetal". Then i looked at the packing. For two dollars they will send you additional snaps. This made me believe they know their snaps are bad. I ordered this to replace a minnow trap that is over 50 yrs old and working fine with the original snap. It was my father's and I passed it on to my son."

"i liked the minnow trap, so much that i bought a replacment, since someone stole the first one i had placed overnight at my favorite (putnam county New york reservoir). the black vinyl color is good 'camo' to avoid the thiefs; i guess my tan cord was not camo enough.
take it from a 2-time owner, it is a nice minnow trap. maybe the thief of the first one will sign in and attest also how nice is the trap."

Poor Clip Design,

"While I like the vinyl-coated traps better than the plain metal ones, the clips are not quite big enough to hold the two halves together sufficiently. We immediately lost half of one traps to the depths and had to attach a safety wire between the halves of our remaining trap to hold it together. If this design flaw can be fixed, I'd give the trap five stars,"

"Great product! Simlpe assembly. Put in an old slice of bread and was able to keep plenty of minnows in my minnow bucket all day. Would definately recomend it."

Minnow traps,

"We placed these small traps in several farm ponds with a liited variety of fish. The traps usually caught a few good bait sized fish and sometimes large bullfrog tadpoles. We used bread for bait scented with fish attractant and set time of 24 hours. You may need several if you are doing a lot of fishing."
