"The holes in the mesh are small, the weights are heavy. Mesh is durable. Pulled out 2- 8 pound carp as well as the shad I was after. Net sinks faster than the lighter cheaper net and the smaller holes are catching the smaller bait fish I am after once in a while."

"After receiving this item, I immediately thought that it was way too big of a net. And I also figured that I'd only get a few throws a day out of it due to its 20lb total weight. Well, after watching the video on how to throw the larger net I decided to go out and give it a try. With a dozen of the local fisherman watching (hoping I would screw up and give them something to laugh about) I made my first throw and was amazed to see how easy it is to throw and get it to open quite a bit. Three throws and I had enough bait for the day. This was on the San Francisco Bay while others with smaller casting nets weren't bringing up much at all. Yesterday, I was able to throw it close to 20 times without any fatigue. And I'm by no means a large person 6ft/170lbs. I would reccommend this net for anyone who is tired of bringing up smaller empty nets all day long."
