"Great product to use on a jonboat. When I pull the boat out of the lake I walk to each side of the boat and within 30 seconds the boat is secured and ready to drive home... NICE!!! never had any problem with these either... I highly recommend..."

"Great transom tiedown if your trailer is a bit too short like mine and you can't reach the back hooks. Nice grips and smooth/ strong mechanism. Rubs a bit on the side of the boat from the strap but not at all on the top as the hook is well dipped in rubber."

BoatBuckle GunWale Tie-Down,June 29, 2007
By jharpfrom Vernon, B.C. Canada
"Easy to put on and works great. No more straps or ropes for me. The only thing you need to add is some carpet or plastic/rubber etc to slip over the retractable strap so it does not wear on the side of the boat. I'd recomend to anyone. Recent trip to a Mountain Lake it held secure and no movement by the boat."

Easy and secure,April 24, 2007
By MaineGydefrom Farmington, Maine
"My first pair of these was for my 20' hand built Grand Laker Canoe, one of the few made in Grand Lake Stream. This all wooden boat was too precious to trust to a strap tie down, which is less secure and also mars the finish, even on aluminum or glass boats. The 2" "paws" that grip the gunwales are rubber coated and left nary a mark on the softwood gunwales, and hold snug. the unique rathet system is easy to tighten, and loosens with the touch of a tab on the ratchet, with the strap retracting via a spring back into the ratchet mechanism."
