"If you're going to use bows to support your boat cover, these are the way to go. The wooden bows will warp if they don't break first. The thinner, orange fiberglass bows also sold lack the stability of these thicker, wider ones. They last much longer and support more weight than the wood bows. As with any material under stress, over time (2 - 3 yrs) they may break at the connecting points (particularly the Two-Piece) but can be easily trimmed and reused albeit an inch or two shorter."
