to two different widths and fit all standard boat-seat hinges. Flip-up brackets
are constructed of long-lasting, non-corroding aluminum. Pads are Soft Touch
foam, constructed from the same material used in car and truck interiors. It is
stronger than vinyl and will not fade due to sun and continued exposure. Colors

"I added these to my big man seats in a Scott Hudson Bay Canoe we use to guide fisherman out of all summer in Northern Maine. These are well made and are 10X nicer than the ones that come up from the bottom that have a ton of lousy reviews on here because the are toooooooooo short. These are just about right for height. Rugged and will last for years. As far as all the reviews on here that keep refering to the fact that you can "lean on these" to stand up from the seat . Well of course you cant if the seat back isnt locked in the upright position.................. the seat back just moves forward. The great thing about these is they just push up outta the way when you dont need them or need to walk past them. This is the better arm rest for your seats. Customers really love them and have had tons of compliments on them!"

"the aluminum brackets were oxidized which did not really matter because I wanted to paint the alum anyway. I also welded the hinges on the seat so that it would not fold down. Peter"

"I WASN'T TOO IMPRESSED AS USED ON A FOLDING SEAT. IF YOU BEAR DOWN TO MUCH PRESSURE ON THE ARM REST YOU ARE PULLING THE BACK OF THE SEAT FORWARD. IF YOUR SEAT DOES NOT FOLD THE PRODUCT WOULD WORK OK. I RECOMMEND THE ARM RESTS THAT MOUNT FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT. THE PRODUCT IS WELL MADE BUT DON'T USE IT ON FOLDING SEATS."

"Some of the reviews were not happy with the way the back rest would always hit a person in the back when ever applying a downward pressure on the arm rests. I decided to drill 2 small 1/8" to 3/16" holes through the hinges and install small machine screws with nylock nuts. This fix would keep the back rest in the up position at all times, which might be a hassle if you need to fold the backs down while traveling but if not I can see where it would be an easy fix. Maybe a removeable pin clip device might work better for your application? Other than that it's the best system for the money. Goodluck! Lyle"

"I needed a bit more room in my boat. I have the Cabel's big man seats and when two of us were in the boat side by side it got a little tight. Now I can just flip up the arm instead of having to unlock the seat and turn it around."

"they work but can't be used for support with out the backrest hitting you, I have the white ones and they show the dirt easy and always look dirty. if your just using them for light arm support there fine bust don't lean on them or you get hit with the back rest... can be entertaining watching "new" friends find that out though lol"

"The armrests were well made, but the problem was, If you kind of leaned heavy on one, the back of the seat would smack you in the back. But I guess that is understandable, since they are bolted to the back of the seat. Unless you are strictly sitting in the seat with your arms on the rest & not useing any force on the rests, they were comfortable, But don't try to use them for support as you try to get up or anything or the back of the seat will fly forward & smack you in the back."
