"please if you are buying this for dry storage don't if you are buying it for livewell it is great . someone did not test the lid for keeeping it dry . as soon as you raise the lid it dumps water into the inside so it is not dry anymore ."

"When I purchased Cabela's 25"X16"X15" Live well I wanted a live well that would hold plenty of water to keep Walleye alive as long as possible. The 25"X16"X15" was what I wanted only the lid was much to large. I plan to raise the floor on my boat up high enough to cover the Live well with a smaller lid. To make it work for me I will cut the lid in half and fasten the front of the lid down and only use the Back half. this way the opening in my floor can be much smaller. Thanks Cabela."

"This is supposed to be a dry storage box. There is no seal on the lid and doen't have any latching system. It would probably work as a live well if you didn't mind water splashing out the lid."

"I bought the largest one for dry storage on my open boat, and had to return the first one because of a defect.
The replacement was not defective unless you consider the cup holders in the lid filled with water when it rained. When I lifted the top for access to the dry storage area, some of the water would get inside and everything would get wet.
Might be OK for the livewell, but I didn't buy it for that."

"Somehow I expected the livewell to have a latch to keep the lid closed while trailering my boat. I am using a loop of bungee cord to do the job. Overall it works fine for me, and it is pretty much what I wanted for my 16' Carolina Skiff."

"Unlike the majority of items I order from Cabelas I was disappointed with this product. My primary concern was the thin plastic the box was made out of. My intent was to use it for storage and seating on my jon boat. I found the box would support me when I sat on it, but it flexed a fair amount. I was concerned that repeated and prolonged exposure to sunlight and cold weather would cause the plastic to fail over time. If the plastic was significantly thicker (say 1/8" to 1/4") this would be a fantastic storage container. However I currently think it is a little weak for most intended purposes."

"Cabela's came through for me again,I was entered into a Musky Tournament this past fall and needed a livewell large enough to hold a 36"fish and the Cabela's Dry-Stor/Livewell is just what I needed.It was the 48" Live well which in my opinion was the best purchase,not to mention that Cabela"s was one of the only companies to offer a 48" portable live well that someone could acctually aford.There(Customer Service )person that helped me with all my questions and had the ability to get even more detailed information for me. "The Dry-Stor Livewell is an excellent idea. I have a new pontoon boat and wanted to be able to use it for fishing as well as pleasure boating. It did not come equipped with a livewell so I started researching portable units. This unit is perfect. In fact, the first one I ordered was too big for where I wanted to install it so I ordered another, smaller unit. I did not return the first one because I liked it so much. Instead, I gave it to my friend who is a commercial fisherman and a tournament bass fisherman. He was very happy to get it!! These are great products with many uses!!! When not being used as a livewell, they make excellent "extra" storage containers. Good job, Cabela's. Another product that meets or exceeds your customer's expectations. Thanks!!!"
