Basspirator pumps are designed for serious fishermen who need frequent circulation of fresh water into their livewells and baitwells. As clean water is pumped into the livewell, water and debris pass through the overflow fitting. The kit includes cartridge, 500 gph cartridge pump, 7 ft. of 3/4" hose, aerating head, two 1-1/2" overflow fittings and hose, illuminated fuse switch, hose clamps, 16 ft. of 16-gauge wire and instructions. 12-volts, 1.4-amp draw.

"In hind sight I would have ordered only the bilge pump, and some through hull fittings for the overflow. The kit lacked real instruction, and didn't include a drain fitting or plug for livewell, the switch was useless to me.
Overall I just thought there was a fair amount of stuff I didn't really need with the kit. It's only semi clear what comes with the kit. If I knew that up front I wouldn't have bought the kit, I would have bought everything separate. I still had to get more bilge hose, drain and plug, different thru hull fittings, and used a different switch.
I do however now have a working livewell, and am happy that it's working. It just could have been more 'turn key'."

"Recieved my order quickly. there needs to be rubber washers with the kit for the pump,overflow fittings,aerating fitting with out the washers these can leak and most of all they can rotate because they are installed on smooth surfaces."

"This product worked wonders for us. Our boat doesn't have capabilities for a in hull live well. We were losing our bait fish before we could get them on our lines. This was the answer to our fishing problems. It takes a little work to put together, but well worth the effort. This is a must have. LOVE IT"

"This kit comes with everything that's needed to convert a tank into a working livewell. It's very simple to follow instructions makes the job such a simple task that anyone could do it. And it works great. Plenty of water volume for aeration to keep those fish alive during fish tournamnets."

"Added this to my Cabela's Livewell and it is awesome...easy to install...great for the catch and release of old "Mr. Bucketmouth"...everyone who has ever thought of building a livewell out of a cooler...should forget it...go for the gold and update your boat with this Bass saving product... not only you will enjoy it...but it would be a plus for the Bass.."

"looks like the directions were for an older model, were less than desirable with many gaps and showing parts that did not exist - really were a joke. called the maker - johnson pumps and the person was friendly but useless. pump discharge installation requires drill bit 1' 1/16 - where the heck do you find that size in a normal store? I have it installed, hopefully it works. Oh one other thing - why would anyone sell a fuse holder in the switch with out a fuse...."
