"Very happy with this product. I put it on an older boat (1977) that had no factory windshield. It has made speeding to and from the various fishing spots on the lake a lot less tearful."

"The clarity and contours of this windshield are excellant. A perfect fit for my small console. The smoke glass color is perfect. Although not a full size windshield it is great for breaking the wind and looks terrific."

"Great product for a replacement or older boat needing a windshield. Installs easy with hardware. Problem is stress cracks at the installation point. One trip out and already stress cracks. If they don't run I can live with it other than that good product for its purpose."

"Not a bad product, but would be nicer if it came with a bracket that could attached to the boat first, then to which the windshield could be attached. This would give the windshield more stability. It does loosen a little after being subjected to windblast, especially driving home on the highway after fishing."

"This is a very solid mount that took a bit of time to install. However the end result was excellent. Very solid. Only complaint is that it was two inches shorter than the original.
Glad to have it though because it does offer protection while underway to the electronics."

"We bought this windshield for our jon boat. As we all know jon boats are not always the smoothest of rides and I have noticed that the hardward that hold the shield to the boats tends to loosen. Besides that I was very happy with it so far."

"This windsheild is a good replacement for my old Tracker. Heavy material and comes packaged great. I did use my own mounting though, I did not trust the puny mounts they sent.
No matter. I can stay dry when I run again!"

"although not yet installed, the windshield was definately measured accurately and fits the console well. The thickness and color are very acceptable and it appears to be a high quality product. Either the factory is good at measurement and we communicated well to get the right product or both myself and the factory can't measure worth a hoot and the windshield's fit was a matter of dumb luck! I like the first option and caution the buyer to measure twice and order once."

"I am very pleased with the quality of the windshield. The directions leave a little bit to be desired. There are only two connections in the front. That doesn't seem like enough to me. That's fine for on the water, but running down the road might be a different story. All in all this is a VERY HIGH QUALITY product. It is easy to install with just common sense. You just can't go wrong for the money. And remember it's from Cabela's so you have recourse just in case something is not right. I've only used it for a couple of weeks so this is not a long term review."

replacement windshield for old Ranger,

"I bought the largest windshield offered for my Ranger 390V as the stock one was short [14"] and allowed everything to hit me in the face. The windshield came to Florida in 8-9 days, was packaged properly and looked good. I had to use a combination of the hardware that was shipped with the windshield and some homemade mounting brackets. I was generally pleased with the finished installation. I took the boat out today for a test run. I found that the windshield began flexing moderately and vibrating at about 45 mph and up. If the windshield will hold under these circumstances I can live with it flexing. The wind now comes around the sides of the windshield but it is a great improvement over the factory windshield. There does not seem to be a noticeable speed penalty in regards to the size of the windshield."

"I measured my boat console and ordered windshield. It fit perfect and looks like it came with the boat. I trailer my boat and it stays put. The only problem I find is that 2 small stress cracks appeared on the front two mounting holes. Other than that I feel the winshield is a good product that should do its job for years to come."

"I had the old glass walk-through windshield and when one of the windows broke, I was looking for an easy replacement. I tore off the 3 glass sections and the 2 side pieces, found 2 of these plexiglass sections in your catelog (which you HAD IN STOCK, to my amazement!) and installed both of them with little effort. My boat looks INCREDIBLE!! I was skepticle at first, but you have earned my return business due to the high-quality items you sell, the extremely helpful staff, and having everything I could ever need for fishing/boating. I had to make some modifications to install these, but that was expected, given the age of my boat. Even having to make these modifications, it could not be any easier to install. Thanks so much for providing a great solution to my problem! Happy Fishing!"

"After battling with the boat manufacturer to obtain an original windshield , I turned to Cabela's out of desparation. I found the size I needed and placed my order. It arrived on time, very well packaged. As it mounted differently from the original, I had to fill existing holes and drill some new ones. The result was a new windshield that actually looks better and mounts better than the original. I continue to purchase from Cabela's. I have yet to be disappointed."

"I own an older deep V fishing boat and the walk through windshield broke. I could not find a factory replacement for the windshield working with the Boat Distributors or THE OEM.
So, I called the folks at Cabelas who were very helpful and recommended I use the small individual console windshields they offer. I took the necessary measurements and the Cabelas staff walked me through the choices, making sure I picked the one that would fit properly. When I got the two windshields within a couple of days, they fit perfectly and were very easy to install. In fact, the windshields fit so well and looked so much like original equipment, my neighbors have now ordered them for their fishing boats!
A job well done to Cabelas for their outstanding customer service and high quality products."
