"I used it on a aluminum to vinyl application. I applied a thin coat and waited about 40 minutes before it was tacky enough to apply the vinyl. It worked well."

Glue didnt hold,

"We used this on an aluminum boat with the marine vinyl. We waited a week for the glue to dry. It was stored indoors with a 70 degree temp. The vinyl turned up and peeled right off. The glue under was just as tacky as it was the day we put it down. We decided to just paint the boat after this failure so we scraped off all the glue we could and left the rest to dry. Three weeks later its still not dry! It is about the same consistancy as chewed gum. You can rub it off by hand. I would not use this glue to lay floor in an outhouse much less use it on a boat."

"This stuff is very easy to work with and has great holding power when dried. I used this to glue my Cabelas Premium Grade Marine Carpet and it is great. this stuff doesnt dry as fast as contact cement but blows it away with holding power."

"Worked great for carpet I did 4 years ago so I used it on vinyl this time. NO GOOD. It's been 6 weeks since I used it and it still hasn't dried. I recomend it for carpet but NOT for vinyl."

"I am extremely unhappy with the Carpet and Vinyl Adhesive offered by Cabela's. The material took far longer to set than listed on the information listed on the container. Subsequently, my carpet got soaked a week after the carpet was installed, now I can find soft spots under the carpet."

"This goes on very easy. I am using this on 1/8th inch alumin for a floor and deck in my Jon boat. I did acid wash the metal first, and so far so good. Let it set up the 15minutes and it works alot better then tring to apply the vinyal to soon."
