"Perfect for all sizes of fish. You never know when you'll have a big one on and this net will help you land it. You have the distance with the telescopic handle and the actual net is a good enough size to land that 5 pound trout you've been waiting for. It's perfect for the float tube as well as packing it on a hiking trip. All in all, it's a great net."

"This net replaces a similar net I own that that is getting on the tired side of its existence. The tired net came in a mesh scabbard that I am with the new one rather the belt clip attached to the net. I can see the clip is handy but the scabbard is a bit handier. The net would be great alone but it is even better with the scabbard."

"This is the best folding net I have seen. It is sturdy and I have landed countless fish with it including a 28 inch Lake Trout. The larger size is the way to go. The only drawback
is that tyhe net mesh is way too fine, and it has a tendency to
tangle with hooks, especially trebles. And I mean badly. A treble hooked into this net will take you 15 minutes to get out.
Cabelas should keep this net frame and design, but change out the netting itself."

"I've had a chance to use this net several times, and it is just the thing if you are on a pontoon boat. telescoping handle gets out in front of your foot pegs and allows you to easily land your fish."

"I lost so many fish especially trout been not able to net them i am tall guy and use 7' rod some time its hard for me to bend over quickly enough to land the fish, this telescopic net comes very handy to me, i can make it 52" longer with just a flick of wrist and big and strong enough to land some nice bass too, and u can fold it less than a foot so it do not take lots of space."

"I use this mostly for collecting fish like cichlids take pics than release them but have used it for good size bass fishing.
It truly folds out well ,locks in place and well made.
Its not that light so keep that in mind but its well made thus can only be so light.
I do wish cabelas made replacemt nets for it in diff size net gauge."

"Generally speaking the telescoping nets are well made and reasonably easy to flip open. I like the longer reach the nets affords, too. One disadvantage and that is weight. The nets are surprisingly heavy if you plan to carry them into the field. They are much heavier than the traditional bent wood frame nets and that can be a problem if you are packing in other gear along with food and water."

"I have used this net for two steelhead seasons and find that it is a great net for wading and netting large fish. I suggest getting the large size as it will work well for most situations and you will be able to easily handle a decent sized steelhead. It conveniently clips to my wading belt and is easy to operate when needed"
