"I purchased this product for my new PWC. I had applied a similar product to my previous PWC 10 years ago and it worked great, but this one was another story. I followed the directions to the tee and the keel guard applied nicely. I was impressed.
I took my PWC for its first trip to Lake Powell. After 10 days, when I pulled the PWC on my trailer, I found a 14" section that is seperation from the hull. This is really bad and now I have to figure out how to cleanly remove it, so I could apply another and better quality Keel guard. I'm very disappointed.

"Follow the instructions and it goes on as described. The acitivator with applicator pad comes in a plastic case that contains a glass vial. This is not clearly explained, but once the vial (which remains in the case) is broken, the activator is out and needs to be applied quickly. Very good product."

"I just installed a 6ft guard on my bass boat. The installation was pretty easy especially with a buddy to help hold guard while I marked the area with blue painters tape. This made the etching and priming go a lot faster. The dvd that came along showed how to install over the rakes, so that was not a problem. We had the guard on and burnished in about 20 minutes and it looks very nice. The boat has been in the water twice, and the guard does exactly what I had hoped it would do....protect against rock/concrete damage along the boat ramps. My only complaint is that contrary to claims, my top end speed dropped from 61 mph to 58 mph. I have both speedometer and gps speed indications that match. Both confirm the speed decrease. I have no idea what my mpg was before, but I don't think it will improve. Otherwise, 5 stars."
