dry fly necks are a good choice,July 23, 2009
By coloradoflymanfrom denver, co
"I've been tying flies for about 4 years and have always bought the 100 pack of dry fly hackle. When i saw that cabelas had there premium necks for half the price of other necks I thought it was too good to be true. I was wrong, it was too good to pass up. I bought two colors, cream and brown and have been very pleased. I've tied everything from midges (size 22) to salmon flies (size 6) with no problems. The only complaint i have is the smaller sized feather (20-16) are pretty short, which might be the case with all brands of dry fly necks, i wouldn't know. Overall for the price i would recommend picking a couple of these dry fly necks up."

Cabelas Dry Fly Necks,January 27, 2009
By nwmt1from Montana
"Hackle quality is good in terms of barb count, stifness, and web content. However, grizzly hackle is very light with banding coloration barely visible. Also, very few hackles in the #18 and smaller sizes."
"I've been tying flies for 30 years. I've used all of the so-called premium necks available to us in the northwest and I do believe that Cabela's premium necks are superior to all those others I have tied with. Each feather is so long I only need one to tie flies that sometimes require 2 hackles. Thank you so much!"

Cabela's necks,May 4, 2008
By RoyalTrudesforeverfrom Colorado Springs, Colorado
"I finally tied some flies with my new Royal neck. As always, Cabala's has a top notch product. I wear your breathable waders and they are super. I wear your wading boots and they are the best. I fish with a Cabala's fly rod that I made form the blank & the fly rod us super. I want another Cabala's flyrod blank, but time and money will have to tell the tale in the future. I made two trolling rods for my brother from Cabala's blanks and he says they are the very best trollilng rods he has ever used. Well, you all keep up the great work."

Excellent feathers,March 5, 2007
By Kollmanfrom Hays, KS
"An excellent selection of feathers that should last me a long time. I bought a couple colors and the quality was consistent with each cape. Great variety of sizes and plenty of smaller ones for my 18 & 20 flies. Really looks good on the hook!"
"Cabela's Premium Dry Fly neck is an excellent neck from Whiting Farms, Inc. the leading producer of quality American grown hackle. The Grade 1 Grizzly Variant neck I have been using contains a complete range of sizes from No. 6 to No. 22. Interestingly, the grizzly variant neck also has a number of honey badger hackles mixed in. Like getting two necks for the price of one. Each hackle will do at least two dry flies and possibly more. An excellent value for the price."
