"Good stiff material,ties very well,but I have had better luck with the ultragreen tippet,at least for a dropper and last one or two section of my leader.It seem alittle bit more softer and flexable,which gives better action with my flies!"

"As advertised, very handy if you're a Maxima fan. One odd thing: Maxima doesn't ID their spools by standard tippet gauges but rather by test weight, so one has to write up a chart in order to use it in the customary way."

"This kit is great! I can customize all of my leaders for any fishing situation. For my midwestern rivers, I'll suggest the chameleon. It's just a great way for an angler to become even more involved in the fishing experience by building all of your own leaders. One more tip, showed to me by a local fly shop, get a fuente cigar box, drill holes in the side, and feed the various sizes throught those holes in the cigar box."

"The Maxima Leader kit that Cabela's offered was exactly what I needed as a novice to tie down leaders for fly fishing. It gave me the opportunityto practice the blood knot along with the double sergeon's knot and loop along with the perfection loop and customize leaders to my own liking and experementation Being a novice I did make mistakes but with everything I needed in one kit I was able to try again immediately which is what I needed. Thank you."
