"rail mount came with rubber shim for gripping strength and an insert for the smaller diameter rail. Everthing went well until I attempted to snug the retaining bolt. The brass nut, molded into the mount began to strip. I will attempt to to drill out and intstall a bolt, washer and nut. I did use the mount on a salmon fishing trip and it held and performed as designed. A beefed -up bolt and nut would solve the issue."

"I needed to mount my GPS puck at a higher point for better reception. The Shakespeare mount is attached to the top of my hand rail on the center console. It was easey to install and provides a secure mount for the puck."

"I bought a used boat it had a 4 foot Shakespeare antenna with the GPS antenna mounted to the top of it. The whole thing was top heavy and cumbersome.I mounted my GPS antenna to the rail on top of the cabin. I now have avery efficient and good looking set up."
