Good Value,November 18, 2009
By TroutHunter7from North Carolina
"These hip waders are a very good value for the money. The neoprene foot fits well, and the waders are sized OK for my legs. The exterior seems pretty rugged. My only complaint would be that because of the waterproofing technique, the waders don't breathe, and your legs/pants can get pretty moist from sweat. Not a big deal, since I typically "wet wade" in the warmer months. I mainly got these waders for fishing in the colder months and in colder water. Overall, highly recommended."

"Just returned from a 5 day fly fishing trip. Waders worked well. They did sweat below the knee a little. They also could use a gravel guard."

Handiest Hippers,October 7, 2009
By alcesgigasfrom Arctic Alaska .
"I've had my first pair for about five-six years; they don't leak yet. I use them with sneakers, boots, and/or "croc" type sandals. In spite of sand and gravel, sticks, grass, and mud that gets between the footgear and the stocking foot--and sometimes there's a prodigious amount--no abrasion is visible. They weigh next to nothing and almost pack in a pocket; they are indispensable to me by now. I have other waders and hip boots, but since owning these I've not used them in spite of the fact that I know I'll be going over the top. They dry overnight naturally. This year I bought my wife a pair. She might even use them, but alas--they're the same size as mine!"

waders,September 1, 2009
By RedGrousefrom Weatern PA
"The waders were well constructed BUT I could not get them on. The ankle area was too tight.
I have waist waders from the same manufacturer and they are very nice.
I wanted to use the waders on my trip to Ungava Bay Quebec fishing for Arctic Char. A big disappointment!"

Good Bargain Waders,September 1, 2009
By VATroutFisherfrom Central Virginia
"At a third the price of other hip waders, these are a great bargain. That being said, it may be worth it to spend more money for breathable waders if you're going to fishing in really hot areas. These can definitely get sweaty, though in the middle of the summer they are still more comfortable than breathable chest waders. Also, be aware that these waders do not have a gravel guard sewn in."

Handy Supplement for Shallow Water,August 17, 2009
By TexasTumbleweedfrom Colorado / New Mexico
"While not a true replacement for breathable waders, the hip waders were a good supplement for shallow water and good product for the price. A good fit for a excellant selection of waders for fishing the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and New Mexico."

Something for the hot months of summer,July 24, 2009
By Crackers53
"I bought these specificlly for wearing during the hotter months of the summer. My waist is cooler but my legs got pretty hot. I was worried that the booties would be too big and the legs too tight as I had to buy a Mens small. They fit fine however: I have small feet so if you have feet larger than a size 7 or 8, you may need to go to a medium to accommadate the bootie size. They are very durable, which I need but if they had something in a lighter weight with booties and in a womens size, I would have gone with that. All in all, the price was right and I will continue to wear these through out the summer months."

Stockingfoot Hip Waders,July 14, 2009
By Johnathonfrom Maryville, TN
"These are exactly what I was looking for. A great value for the price. I am very satisfied with them. They are much more comfortable to wear in the summer than chest waders especially in the hot humid South. They also allow me to wear my wading boots that have ankle support (which I also bought at Cabela's)."

Cabela's Three Forks™ Stockingfoot Hip Wader,June 23, 2009
By WarnerAfrom Maine
"Well made, seem to be durable, comfortable, and most importantly to myself, very light weight. Busting the brush up and down Maine rivers I didn't even notice I was wearing them and at the end of a long day of fishing that makes all the difference. If your style of fishing involves a lot of walking and shallow wading (mid thigh depths) I would highly recomend Cabela's Three Forks™ Stockingfoot Hip Wader. Money well spent"

By wangchungfrom Colorado
"very well built for the price. The size is right. I'm 5ft 8in with 29 inch inseam and 8 1/2 shoe. Men's small fits fine. It's not breathable like Gore so it's a bit clammy feeling but hey: it's around $50!"

Good Wader,April 8, 2009
By Joon
"Good price. The fit is acceptable, NO leaks. I've used mine fishing a few times so far. I'm just starting fly fishing, so I wanted inexpensive waders to learn with. They've done everything I expected them to do. They're ok in very cold water, might need thermals or a liner in early Spring or Fall. At some point I'll get a pair of chest waders so I can go out farther in the streams. However, I can see how having these hip waders in shallow water on warm days will be nice."

Stockingfoot Hip Waders,January 5, 2009
By Sparkeychirpsfrom Charlotte NC
"Just got a second pair of Stockingfoot Hip Waders. This pair for my wife. I got a pair last year and they were great compared to old fashioned hip boots. First of all less weigth to pack and haul around. We work three months during the summer in Alaska. Lot of time working near water and traveling by float plane and boat so you spend alot of time in waders. These are just so much more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. No problems with any leaks at all. Still they have taken a beating. They are also great when you head for the lake to catch dinner. If these ever wear out I wouldn't hesitate to by another pair."

Cabela's stockingfoot hip wader,December 30, 2008
By tony52from Tobaccoville, North Carolina
"After looking at the other reviews, I was a little hesitant to buy because of fit issues, but the price was too good to pass up. I have a high instep and can't point my toes all that well, but the waders slipped right on and seemed to fit perfectly. I wear a size ten shoe and ordered the large, 10-12 shoe size. I don't think a size 12 foot would fit. Better go one size bigger. Great fit and great price!"

what I needed when I needed it.......,September 22, 2008
By Jayhawktroutcatcherfrom Kansas fishing in Colorado.
"These Three Forks stocking foot hip waders are great for those time when casting doesn't require being waist deep in water. I used them to wade in a lake where there was plenty of room for a back cast, so distance from shore was not a issue. They pack in nearly no space, they are absolutely waterproof, and easy to put on and take off, without restriction of movement like some regular waders. Highly recommended."
